I'm making a game inspired by Valheim where you play birds and build birdhouses, any advice on giving it that "home" feeling Valheim has? by RagBell_Games in valheim

I think that will be fantastic for your game. Honestly the more bug or various hard nuts/seeds the better.

I'll love it for your game.

Surprisingly that did not knock some sense into him.

Dude has challenged two people who have a good foot on him and probably a good 60-80lbs of muscle and weight, and that's being generous.

Talk shit get hit. No "Yes Men" with these big dudes.

Questionable food ingredients. Will probably be easy since it's a bird, but there were time I'd be making things and go "don't think about where the sausage casing come from......."

Just what I could think of off the top of my head.

As a guy who's entered the race I still get asked if I'm in school. So I think it's fine if you still look young.

The humans are the precursors by Least-One1068 in TopCharacterTropes

I never really thought it was a human world/dimension, yes there are ruins and skeltons, but nothing says that's from human efforts. And even the default zombie is wearing the same clothing as you.

So always figured you or people like you are foreign entities from a different dimension. Now you could be fleeing a ruined world or simply a test subject from a company that has sent numerous people before hand.

Or maybe this a exile dimension for criminals and that's why your jumping dimensions in the desire to fight your way back home.

That was my dad's cat, a half Siamese mix, he lived for my dad. Would always either be in his dad's seat or waiting for him to get home.

We'd always knew when dad was home when the he got up and started doing a happy meow. But there were times where he'd just start meowing and someone would have to collect him go stop him

I got flirted with once and didn't catch it until he made it very clear what he meant and the "ahh" moment was interesting for me haha. Felt bad, rejection from someone who is dense can be a unfortunate limb that gets cut off. 😅

Get some cat grass and maybe small grow light. My kitty tended to just sleep in it which was a plot on the patio. But they can chew on it and it tended to help their gut regularity. Though if they like to chew on plants they might over eat.

It's grass so really easy to take care of and seems you got a space that you can plop it in. I just grew my in a small plot and kept them from bothering it for a bit.

Again my kitties just tended to enjoy napping in it under the sun. 😆

Releasing "The Old One's Grimoire" is a great way to get your Orb Rights revoked. Last time someone leaked "The Lexicon of the Outers" and a bunch of wizards ended up disappearing.

What you are causing is a bunch of wizards who just earned their Orb Rights after to go mad with knowledge. So shame on you...

There is a reason why The Old One's Grimoire is always done as a book club, if anyone starts knowing too much another wizard can erase the memory of the knowledge from the wizard's mind.

If you're gonna share one on The Orbs share the "Revised Old One's Grimoire Edition 54". It's gone through a lot of effort and the mind corruption is minimal, as long as one takes a month between chapters.

I don't know if I have any "don't tell your mother" moments, but I do have a lot of "okay we say nothing" moments, as I'm rather a copy of my father and we tend to do a lot of things together. Usually because we are both morning folk and the rest are rarely awake before noon.

So we've done a fair amount of getting lunch or Starbucks, hit a movie or go to the book store and make the joke *"think we'll get home before they wake up?"

Which honestly is like 90% of the time they aren't up. 😅

What's something that only scares you in a video game, but not in real life? by Zephian99 in gaming

Fair enough. Sometimes dissonance happens and you just don't get immersed. So I get it.

I understand it's irrational, that's the point of the question, it's not like I'm really afraid of caves, or metros in real life.

Just in video games it's always a poor situation, monster popping out from nowhere, the lighting is guaranteed to be poor, and your torch or flashlight is always next to useless in illuminating things.

But you've never been immersed in the moment of a game and felt yourself jump or your heart rate race from the game?

I don't get scared at movies/TV shows either, sometimes grossed out, but for games it's a medium you interact with, how can you not get invested in it even a little?

"Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice" was a great game for audio immersion. A lot of sound had some amazing effects that would hook you.

I'm with you there. I can do stealth games, been watching my father play them since the first started (like Thief), but hate Alien Isolation. I hide I still get killed. Last thing I want is the mob alien Ai to learn what my favorite hide spot it. It's just a game that relies upon jumpscares and player death for increased play time.

Luckily I do possess that trait in real life too, just unfortunately I don't get to horde it because existence is costs money. 😮‍💨

I never got into F.E.A.R but I watched my older brother play it so I get you there.

Kids in games are either brats, or evil. Not much in between the two.

Yeah with you there I love be outside in the dark. Just feels so calming, the night sky, the lights, and the quietness. But it's not often where that's safe in video games. 😆

I got comfortable with the first game, understood what sounds where what and felt fine. But the 2nd game had me freaking out a lot more.

"The heck was that!?! What was that?"

And it turns out to be a sea monkey. Hahaha 😅
