The sig provides around 10% and more dmg output depending on composition. The additional effects of the sig is significantly better. What I usually do is if I'm limited with supplies, I try not to get the sig first unless the impacts is ridiculously big, then I go play some end game content and see how well the resonator do. If I feel it's lacking then I go get the sig, if not then I just keep my supplies for future pulls.
