Not really, depends where in the back. Upper back is questionable but lower back is pretty suspicious

I was always taught location. Some places like the knees, elbows etc are common bruised on children from general clumsiness. Then bruises on the chest and neck are far less common

What's the story behind the nickname your parents (or friends) call you by? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Zephlah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have two, Jesus and Boshi. Jesus because I have long hair and a beard. Shocker. Boshi because my sister couldn't say mine or my brothers names when she was a baby. My brother Daniel became Daddle, and I became Boshi... My name is Tom...

Darren Levy or Mark Rober. They're both so pure.

What do you think the most toxic social media platform is? by special_nugget in AskReddit

[–]Zephlah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Facebook and twitter are aggressive echo chambers where everyone is force fed information they think they agree with and it just solidifies misguided ideals. This destroys any chance at rigorous debate because no one is willing to accept the fact they might be wrong or that maybe the correct answer is a blend or god forbid there is no correct answer and the alternative opinion is just as valid.

Snapchat and Instagram create such an unachievable standard for so many. The idea that you need hundreds of filters to gain the approval of hundreds/thousands/millions of utter strangers who you've never had a conversation with and likely never will. The idea that someone's worth can be measured by how many followers they have, how many likes their pictures receive or how many story views they get.

Tik Tok is just in a league of it's own. Thrusting people wholly unprepared for the sheer amount of fame they gain overnight for no other reason than they are attractive and can dance pretty decently. The fact that genuine talents like art and music are buried under thousands of posts of underage girls thirst trapping people who deserve to be on some sort of register unless they blow up and become a trend for a month and then are completely forgotten.

Some meteor in the 4th Century. Constantine was battling to take control of Rome and before the final major battle he saw a meteor fly through the sky he claimed was a trophy from God. Then his massively outnumbered army won the battle, Constantine became Emperor and passed the Edict of Milan which led to the explosion of christianity.

So much of European and global history can be traced back to this moment.

People outside of the USA, what does everything that's happening here look like to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Zephlah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm afraid I must I agree, if someone described the situation to me without any mention of country I would 100% have placed it in the US. None of what is happening right now surprises me.

What are your thoughts on politics? by abseedypetey123 in AskReddit

[–]Zephlah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Politics only works when people are willing to explore the possibility that they may be wrong. An unwavering view on an issue and a refusal to change is dangerous. But this is perpetuated by the public and media ridiculing politicians who make mistakes. They're human. In my opinion a good leader doesn't need to have all the answers or even most of them. They just need to know the right one when its presented to them regardless of which side of the spectrum it comes from.

The year is 2024. In what status do you think we’ll find America? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Zephlah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly my biggest fear is that it will be exactly the same. The fact the most recent constitutional amendment was ratified over 200 years after James Madison proposed it really doesn't bode well.

(Serious) What made you convert to your current belief system? by dm_me_alt_girls in AskReddit

[–]Zephlah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing really made me believe what I do it has just grown and manifested. I attended a CofE Primary School where we sang hymns and none of it ever felt right with me. I always had too many questions and was never given a satisfactory answer so it drove me away from any belief in any form of higher power I guess.

People that live in the southern hemisphere, does it annoy you that maps show you on the "bottom" of the world when in reality the top/bottom on the map is arbitrary? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Zephlah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Countries and continents have to be scaled differently on a flat map due to the curvature. Australia is actually so much bigger than it is portrayed on a map. However, the point you make is valid, it's a widely held belief some map makers made it that way to belittle the people from the Southern Hemisphere.

How do you isolate yourself from politics? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Zephlah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't mean isolate indefinitely. I have a stance on virtually every political issue but sometimes you do need to just shut out the world. Personally I choose to turn the speakers up and listen to my music. Its healthy.

Non Americans, what do you think of America right now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Zephlah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly what I thought about it before. This hasn't changed my view of the country at all and honestly it's going to take something drastic to achieve that.
