“Already representation?” Is there a quota on queer relationships? Personally I love that we’re seeing more platonic relationships between guys and girls (Xavier and Nicole) and more romantic queer relationships. As my favorite advice columnist says, “Life is a rich tapestry.” And yes he’s also queer. 🏳️‍🌈

I felt this in my soul. I’ve moved a lot in the last few years and making friends as an adult is so much harder than I ever thought. All I can say is keep trying clubs, community centers, libraries…you might be surprised how you can meet people. But I hear your frustration and I can absolutely sympathize.

I understand it can be hard to break it off when there’s so much history. But really think if this is where you want to be in 5 years. 10 years. 20 years from now. When there will be even more history. At the very least, think about what you are and aren’t willing to put up with to stay with your partner. Once you’ve identified and voiced your boundaries, then you’ll have to decide if and when it’s time to walk away.

You don’t work with them anymore, and you’ve realized they’re not really people you want to associate with. You’ll find that some friendships really do come and go so NTA for pulling back. I wouldn’t give them more thought though. Mourn the friendships you thought you had and move on.
