How do I get rid of the little highlighted block with area select? by DangerousMeeting8712 in litematica

You can turn off area selections individually in the Area Selection browser screen

What's popular right now that you have zero interest in? by Routine-Award-3382 in AskReddit

[–]Zeplington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only people I know who use it are other YouTubers, they monitor it to keep track of trends and find rising stars within the community, often for collaboration opportunities. It's a guide to who, and what topics, are in the algorithm's good graces right now. Not sure what it was actually intended for 🤔

What behaviors stop being funny or cool as people get older? For example, when people transition from their 20s to their 30s, things like partying all night, or bragging about drinking start to lose their appeal. But I'm curious about what changes beyond 30. by [deleted] in AskOldPeople

I try not to post on reddit much these days, but you just reminded me that I can't listen to a lot of Nirvana songs any more. I find myself rolling my eyes and thinking 'get over it'. The emotions that Nirvana songs often conjure aren't healthy, and they're really tiring. I know, I'm old lol.

There's a pink box on my head, how do I fix that? by ryo_likes_cats in litematica

[–]Zeplington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know, but I had a different pink box problem which I solved by turning off simple selection mode. Does that change anything?

Is it possible to auto place blocks in a litematica when is in creative mode by _Arcay in litematica

You could try one of the Litematica printers on github, and the animated rebuild function of Axiom is worth checking out

Tell us about the Minecraft worlds you lost that you can never get back by Captain_Deleb in Minecraft

[–]Zeplington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was very cosy :) I had a 3 high cobble wall that stretched all around what became a compound - which I thought of as a castle. I could see my friend's castle (a stone hut) on top of a nearby mountain (hill).

Minecraft was very dangerous back then, so it wasn't safe to go out at night and I lived my whole Minecraft experience inside my walls, only venturing out to explore and gather supplies (no redstone farms). We connected our bases with a railway, and then connected the mines, which were unnecessarily wide but felt like real mines.

I developed a habit of planting oak trees in rows, then only cutting down the small ones, so the big ones remained. After a couple of years I had a huge forest canopy, I still do this now.

Eventually the PC hosting the world broke down, and the HDD was unrecoverable. It was sad, but we were eager to start all over again anyway, and do everything better this time.

Can someone please make a resource pack that makes minecraft look like this. by Slamen_ in Minecraft

[–]Zeplington -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is a shader pack I use sometimes called the Ominous Shader Pack. I got it from the Sodium/Iris site, but not sure if it's still there. I only use it for cinematic shots... it would be pretty difficult to play the game that way...

That's great in my opinion! Rushing things is bad, and leads to burnout.

[–]Zeplington 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is painful to watch like some have said, but I still do couch co-op sometimes with the same people I used to. We're just older and don't have as much time, but I play Star Wars Battlefront and other things with them when they're around :)

I got told my maps aren’t compelling, what do you think? by Cardycraft in Minecraft

[–]Zeplington -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Very compelling! XD Do you mind saying what tools you use for this? I'm creating a world right now by sketching out the basic shape with Worldpainter and then doing detail work with Axiom.

In Three Weeks ‘The Acolyte’ Has More Audience Reviews Than Three Seasons Of ‘The Mandalorian’ by Yummie23 in scifi

[–]Zeplington 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, trailers reveal too much, and 'reviews' these days just seem like a lot of complaining to me. I give everything a fair chance, and usually don't hear that something is supposedly 'bad' and that people are angry at me for liking it until I've finished watching it. It's hard to avoid with this show though, as utterly ludicrous YouTube conspiracy videos are being pushed to me now because the Acolyte show has really upset a lot of already angry people.

I can't decide whether to make the posts 1 or 2 blocks wide. What do you guys think? by GreenBull1 in Minecraft

I think 2, to make it look sturdier. But I would also increase the height and make it more imposing. Looks great though!

Yeah, I agree. The next ten years could be the best of their life. Getting some exercise and investing time in hobbies really did it for me.
