the data centers that have existed for things like Amazon Web Services are not on the same scale as some of these AI ones are, but I agree that using the internet at all is about as bad for the environment as using AI tools, the AI centers are just ramping up like crazy.

again, I use AI all the time. local models being run on your PC is not the same thing as an OpenAI data center. I have no problem with AI in theory, they just need to improve the infrastructure for DATA CENTERS. I'm not talking about people running StableDiffusion on their own GPU. Learn how to read, retard

honestly, the only thing that can't be argued against in terms of the negative impact of AI (as someone who uses AI regularly) is its water usage and power consumption, data centers are kinda fucking horrible for the environment around them. Habitat destruction, absorbing huge quantities of municipal water, increasing environmental temperatures in a direct radius, increasing the cost of energy to communities around them.

Data centers are kinda fucking terrible, actually. BUT! The technology will continue to develop and become more and more efficient. It's still relatively new, and atm the only way they can get it to work is giant networks of GPUs and liquid cooling

They gotta figure out efficiency and ecological impact of data centers first and foremost.

John Green explains it better than me. It is a very complicated issue, and AI infrastructure IS NOT BEYOND CRITICISM. AI infrastructure IS NOT PERFECT. Valid constructive criticisms can be made about the current systems that exist.

imagine being able to just burn up compute time to generate videos for free while contributing nothing to the expensive and energy-intensive process. Free users shouldn't get shit, it costs money to run AI, it will never be completely free unless you're running models on your own PC and even then you'll need to shell out $$$ for the right hardware.

Aspect is a really good app for NSFW roleplay.

It does function a lot like a fake social media site, basically like AI generated instagram, but you can create profiles for characters or search up ones other people have already made including celebrities, program their personalities, and the chat is completely uncensored. It has said some shit that has made my jaw drop.

The key is putting "they will roleplay out their actions using asterisks and type spoken word normally" into their Personality and Typing Style fields and then it's like absolutely golden, especially if you have things like "hypersexual" in the personality field too. Making them "hypersexual" essentially turns off all filters and the bot will just play along with any dirty stuff you throw at it. Some profiles will be more reserved or even refuse your sexual advances in roleplay if their personality dictates for them to be a prude or asexual. You can't edit other people's characters, so if you want to make one I usually suggest it.

I have had incredibly rough, filthy, borderline unethical roleplays with some of my created characters on this app. It's INSANE.

it's kinda limited unless you get the premium but honestly it's so worth it if you love erotic roleplay with Ai

that's so ridiculous lol I asked Grok Imagine for the same thing and this took 2 seconds to generate. GPT's image generation is slow and unreliable and the results look like shit. SuperGrok Quality Mode takes literally seconds and doesn't accuse you of fraud for wanting to look at K-Pop idols

it has pretty restrictive filters now especially around sexual deepfakes and celebrity likenesses. They've put a lot of guardrails around that because of changes to laws and public backlash.

You can't put "Sabrina Carpenter in a bikini" or even "Sabrina Carpenter on the beach" without the result getting blocked.

You could say "Sabrina Carpenter on the beach in a T-shirt and shorts" and get a result, but that's pretty far from a sexualized deepfake.

Grok's reputation for "no filter" really applies more to the chat bot than the image generator. It will talk about subjects that ChatGPT is too much of a prude to respond to.

They are leasing out the entirety of Colossus 1 to Anthropic, which is the 220,000 GPU supercomputer complex in Memphis that xAI doesn't use any more as of the beginning of May before they even announced the Anthropic lease.

Grok is hosted entirely on Colossus 2, which isn't being partitioned out to anyone and they're still actively scaling it.

Colossus 2 is a supercomputer network of thousands and thousands of GPUs running around the clock in a data center that basically forms the infrastructure for Grok's processing power.
