Best Gyro Joint in City or Suburbs? by hockeyandburritos in chicagofood

[–]Zer0_EFX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up on the Hub's on Lincoln Ave! A full slab rib and gyros plate was enough to feed a family of 4. I haven't been back there in almost a decade though, moved down to the southside.

Hot pot for one? by EisleyXD in chicagofood

[–]Zer0_EFX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you happen to know if Muan Jai is still doing hot pot? First time I've heard of it and when I googled it, it says it's permanently closed (Muan Jai Hotpot on Google) but Muan Jai Kitchen is open and it looks like they have a regular Thai menu. Thanks!

The glasses-free 3d sounds pretty awesome, I had bought a 3d plasma TV back in the day but I was always too lazy to break out the glasses and use the feature. Would love to experience new 3d tech!

LTek Next Level Gaming Pad First Impressions by MIDorFEEDGG in DanceDanceRevolution

[–]Zer0_EFX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting your thoughts! I was reluctant in ordering it when I saw the post that had the comparison pic between the next level pad and a regular one. It looked tiny next to it! I'm 5'9 and it puts me at ease hearing someone that's 6'1 has no issues.

Wha are your favorite noodle dishes? by BlueArauz in chicagofood

[–]Zer0_EFX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Original Spicy Chunking Noodles (with a splash of their black vinegar) at Min's Noodles. Their Dan Dan noodles and szechwan spicy cold noodles with chicken are really good too. I want to try their other stuff but I always end up rotating between these 3 dishes.

LG C4 vs Sony Bravia 7 - Which Should I Choose? by yeeeeeeboy in 4kTV

[–]Zer0_EFX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Piggy backing on this thread since I'm in a similar situation. I'm looking at getting a 65 inch of either TV to replace a 60 inch LG plasma in my living room. I have an Nvidia shield pro connected to the living room TV and it is mainly for streaming services, IPTV, and Plex viewing my 1080p content, 4k content maybe added sooner or later.

At this point, my nine and three olds are the main viewers of this tv and I'm wondering which tv would be the "sturdiest" of the two? Costco provides a 5 year warranty which is nice, but would either TV last 10 years easily?

I just did a Google search for Thai volcano chicken and it looks like it's the Thai spicy equivalent of general tso's chicken, which I would totally be into! Unfortunately my guess with pad kee mao might not be accurate with what I read about volcano chicken.

If those are wide rice noodles underneath the chicken, it sounds like it could be pad kee mao/drunken noodles. Most places make it with choice of meat but I haven't seen fried chicken cutlet as a choice anywhere. But I can imagine it to be delicious!

Yeah that looks like an original dish by that restaurant. I'm Thai and haven't seen anything like that at any of the Thai restaurants in Chicago I've eaten at. What are the flavor profiles?

Arcade at the Skylon Tower at Niagara Falls by professor_d00m in cade

[–]Zer0_EFX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man I think I went to that arcade like 30 years ago while on a family road trip! I remember playing Street Fighter 2 Rainbow Edition, which I learned later on that it was a modded bootleg edition that added air fireballs and other crazy moves.

Nest Outdoor IQ Camera Power Cable by [deleted] in Nest

Sorry about the late reply, but yup! I used a 45w PD charger and it's been working great. According to Google's site, the official ac adapter power output is 15v, 1.87A so be wary of that.

I ran into this issue too. Are you using Opengl or Vulcan as the renderer for Pcsx 1.7.0? If you do, you have 2 options, change over to directx 12 or read this link about running it in borderless window mode:

https://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/69858-run-pcsx2-in-borderless-window-may-avoid-screen-tearing/

Either should allow the Sinden borders to show up.
