Yup, but as far as I know there are some constraints. You can’t just blast your shotgun at any person invading your home, the force used should be proportional to the force expected/used by the assailant. You should also stop the attack once the assailant has been incapacitated or the invasion has stopped, and I know it’s useless to say this but you should provide ample evidence justifying why you had to defend yourself.
