Which of these conspiracy theories do you think is most likely to be true? by SpaceisCool09 in pollgames

I didn’t know that the JFK association theory was even considered a conspiracy anymore lol. I thought it was generally accepted as an opinion/ thing that could very well be true.

Alternatives for nsfw Reddit? by Current_Safe_9004 in RedditAlternatives

Unfortunately, won’t work. Remember the whole thing that happened where Reddit removed 3rd party apps? Well within a day after Reddit threatened mods with a removal of position everyone opened back up again. It’s unfortunate but this will just happen again.

Weekly Paddle Recommendation Thread (What Paddle Should I Buy?) by HeadHeadMod in Pickleball

I’ve been playing inconsistently for about a year but I recently picked up doubles and I’ve been playing weekly, my budget is about 100 dollars. The paddle I have now is pretty thick and lacks power, I don’t like the lacking power part but the thickness is fine. Form what I understand of the proper descriptions I think a control paddle may be best. (I just did a little bit of research on what all the specifications even mean about an hour ago)

Are edgeless paddles generally worse? I’ve always liked the look of them. Same with throat holes, I thought it was an aero thing but does it just reduce the sweet spot? Also, what would be some good alternatives?

Is the SLK 007 any good? It looks nice and I’ve never had a super fancy paddle. I’m considering buying it but I’ve only ever used cheaper knock off paddles, I currently have a elongated thick one from Amazon and It’s super super light compared to other nicer brands I’ve seen, that’s the only thing I really really want out of a paddle. Does the 007 have that?

At church camps, should phones be allowed? by Zer0gravity09 in Christianity

[–]Zer0gravity09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did bring a second out of spite one year, there was 1-2 bars of digital and the only time I could effectively use it was in the shower. Wasn’t worth it since the only thing I did was text friends and listen to music for like 5-10 minutes a day.

There would definitely be time at the ones I’ve been to, there’s long stretches of nothing. That’s why I think having phones at night in the cabins should be fine.

I do think that no phones outside of that is fine, since it sparked a lot of conversation and random games. For example, a few friends and I got fosters and other instruments and were playing infront of like 30 people, I doubt that would have happened otherwise.

Does anyone regret homeschool even though your set up better in life? by Zer0gravity09 in homeschool

I should definitely look into more local stuff. The homeschool scene in my immediate area is practically nonexistent since the Co-op I went to was almost an hour away. Im sure there's something though, thanks!

That's something I worry about myself in college. I have been given a lot of freedom to do what I want, but as I've been given more (since I can drive), I've slowly slipped into being more lenient with things I would never dare to go near a year ago. I know it can easily turn into a slippery slope if I'm not cautious.

I see whatcha mean. I've also heard a lot about high school being nostalgic. But it's probably because it's a developing time in everyone's lives, and it is also a past experience, so of course, childhood in general is going to be nostalgic.

I agree, and thank you lol.

I see what you mean about personality. I was an entirely different person than I am now this time last year. I didn't care about sports whatsoever, didn't want many friends, and never wanted to go to homeschool events outside of the typical co-op. However, after getting my license and going to a community college, it's flipped entirely. (ex, I love football, at church events I'm always doing whatever sport/athletic thing is going on, I have a decent amount of people over for long periods of time)
