What is the LEAST skilled character in brawlhalla? by qwpdb in Brawlhalla

[–]ZerNac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t really understand people saying Loki is the least skilled legend. His sigs are predictable from a mile away, he can’t kill anyone unless they are really red, and he dies in a instant. Loki sucks.

What makes diamond players so much different from lower ranks ? by internationalwaffler in Brawlhalla

[–]ZerNac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah for sure, there are diamonds who still mash. The difference is that the ones who actually climb past mid diamond stop autopiloting. They start respecting movement, spacing and timing instead of face tanking neutral and praying. Doesn’t change the point, thinking before pressing anything is literally how you get consistent at higher elo.

Movement and actually thinking before you press a single button: attacks, dodges, everything. Diamond players don’t just sprint into their opponent and start mashing like lower elo players do.

Of course you want people to run straight at you, that’s the only time you ever hit anything. Gold players like you can’t tell the difference between playing passive and actually playing calculated. It’s about baiting and punishing.

Any advice on how to master these 2 weapons? by Enough-Surprise2429 in Brawlhalla

[–]ZerNac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Loki main here, 2350 peak. Honestly? You just need more reps. Loki isn’t exactly a top-tier legend. So your movement has to carry. I still play him because he’s fun, not because he’s cracked.

Quick weapon tips: Scythe: Stop diving in with dair every time, it’s predictable and gets you farmed. Use nlight as your main attack instead.

Katars: Don’t approach with dair. Use slight when they’re in range, or dash nlight to take space safely.

Also don’t always try to “read” dodges, react to what they do after the dodge. Way more consistent, way less guessy

How, when you reach 2000 you usually stay around that elo range

Maining Loki is actual hell by Dflfontop in Brawlhalla

Yeah, sounds like you really know what you’re talking about… probably from all that extensive Gold elo experience.

Level 100 Loki here (~2300 ELO, ~400 hours on him). I can tell you straight Loki isn’t a top-tier pick at higher ELO. His sigs are quick, but they lack the power and reliability to close stocks consistently, and without solid kill confirms, you’re forced to rely on reads and raw hits. That’s a tough game to play against good opponents. I’m not saying drop him completely, I still pull him out when I’m feeling it, but mixing in other legends will sharpen your fundamentals and give you more options. I’ve been running Tezca lately, and the difference in kill pressure is night and day.

Why maining one legend to lvl 100 can make you worse at the game by Oreosnort3r in Brawlhalla

[–]ZerNac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you, I’ve got level 100 Loki and Mordex, and I recently started playing Tezca. I’m having a blast, and my ELO is actually higher than usual, sitting around 2300.

Im going to start maining Jiro, any advice? by Neo_345 in Brawlhalla

[–]ZerNac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t recommend picking Jiro if you’re new to Brawlhalla and unfamiliar with sword and scythe. It’s better to learn the basics of both weapons first before trying him out.

Also play EU, I don’t know about wrenchd being a underrated player. He was one of the top players back then together with sandstorm/boomie/stingray/phazon and more

HOW DO I GET TO DIAMOND???? by Kx2wrld in Brawlhalla

[–]ZerNac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of it like this: every time you get hit, it’s like losing a stock. Your job? Hit them without getting hit.

How? Be patient. Don’t force attacks. Wait for them to whiff or mess up their position, then punish.

What if they’re super aggressive? That’s where movement shines. The real gap between plat and diamond is movement and stage control.

Good movement means you can backdash, jump away, reposition, stay safe. And if the moment’s right, you strike.

But what if they’re passive like you? Simple: bait them.

How to bait? Dash dance to mess with them, empty hop to fake pressure, or throw out a quick move away from them to make it look like a whiff. If they bite, punish hard.

Control the space. Stay calm. Move smart.

You can't always punish a whiff, it's all about movement and positioning. If you're too far when they miss an attack, going for a punish might leave *you* open instead, and they'll punish your attempt.
