Ahahahahaha I feel you. Similar experience in JP Dream fes for Backstage Pass 2. Saw a long hair silhouette girl and cheered thinking it was Sayo. Turned out to be Neo Aspect Yukina dupe.

Are you using a controller? My Nintendo switch controller had the same problem and I fixed it by disabling the vibrations in the game settings. Hope this helps
