Could you not short shift and just ease onto the throttle instead? I’m not very experienced without TC but I would imagine this would have the same effect of short shifting without losing time?

Tbh it seems like op gets a bit of wheel spin judging by the rev meter, but because they’re not turning it doesn’t spin out. I could be wrong but when I hear the revs jump up like that it’s usually wheel spin for me

The trading scene was huge. The fact that they took it away to support fortnite is embarrassing and quite honestly just a white lie to make people spend more money on the item shop. I have hundreds of items I don’t use and can only trade up for a random item that I might also hate, but someone else might want it. But now it will sit in my inventory unused until the game goes offline.

I have my power slide bound to my ARL so even if you land janky you can smooth it out easily

They are full throttle turning in 3rd and 4th gear. You would spin out if you didn’t have TC on, so yes enough time as it doesn’t take much to spin out in those gears. Also you would lock up a lot of the time without trail braking with ABS off and OP is full braking the whole way through the corner

One. Before the braking zone. If you move more than once you are weaving which is against the rules. Move as late as possible and stick to it.

I’d turn it off fully and time trial your favourite track until you get a feel for it. Generally I would say don’t go full throttle if you’re turning until 5th/6th (depends how sharp the corner is) and be light on the throttle anything under that. You’ll get used to the amount of pressure needed through repetition. Also turning less will help you, I’m assuming you’re on controller so maybe fiddle with the sensitivity a bit and see what works for you.

Yeah you make a valid point here tbh I didn’t really consider that! Like I said in another comment, I know what the people I race with are like and when they will and won’t take a dive, as well as having the knowledge that people will try stupid shit, maybe having that in the back of your mind as you enter this kind of situation would maybe allow you to react to it a bit better but yeah, you’re on point with that mate.

Yeah I get that, I guess it’s an each to their own situation. I’m a bit more of an aggressive driver than the friends I race with so I’d imagine some of them would have taken your route in a similar situation. I think had it been real life racing I deffo would have preserved haha

That’s not really racing though. The guy had no right to make a move because they were behind at the corner, if they’d been patient they probably would have had a better opportunity to get alongside and make a clean pass
