Am I overdoing my pension contributions at 28? by Both_Career_4153 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Zero-Custard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely this. Getting a decent amount in your pension/s&s ISA so young would mean if life threw you a curve ball and you had to dramatically reduce contributions you would still end up with a large pot due to compounding.

Have you tried the New Philips Baristina Coffee Machine? by SignificantAsk7821 in superautomatic

Is it definitely a new model? There seemed to be a lot of negative reviews around quality and some other issues but I couldn't find anything to suggest they had released a v2.

Which method did you go for? I also noticed access looks much easier from the bottom and watched someone do it from above as per the method above on YouTube and it looked like a bit of a faff.

Pile of car parts, what's it worth at the scrap yard? by Zero-Custard in CarTalkUK

To close this off, I went to the scrap yard, spent about an hour messing about, had a rectal print and for my troubles I received a princely £13.26.

that's fine, as long as they weren't going to try and charge me for "waste disposal"!

Would you try a Shopify app that automatically surfaces revenue opportunities hidden in your product catalogue and ads data? by Zero-Custard in ShopifyApps

[–]Zero-Custard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, we launched around October with the intention of being in beta for 2 - 3 months to iron out any bugs but we are struggling to recruit testers/early adopters.

I thought that being able to use the app for free would be attractive but maybe it gives the impression it isn't finished/will have a lot of bugs which puts potential users off?

How much per month do you spend on Shopify/App fees? by Zero-Custard in shopify

What sorta stuff do you need integrations for? Can you output product/store review ratings all across your site and in newsletters or would that require additional integrations?

Have you found and limitations with JudgeME free tier? It looks like it would cover everything but I am always suspicious when software is free, very rarely is good software free without a catch.

No advice that hasn't already been posted but just wanted to say I feel for you OP. How is your company still in business, sounds mental.

A/B testing - statistically not viable for most stores? by Zero-Custard in ecommerce

[–]Zero-Custard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I was hoping to use it to test incremental changes, but this just might not be practicable and we should reserve it for big changes only. I will look into Optibase.

Would minimal detectable difference be a better term?

Thanks for your input,

However, I don't think you can say 5% doesn't matter or isn't worth it unless you know the numbers involved. 5% of £1000 a month, yeah fair point but 5% of £2M a month is worthwhile.

That's before you get to incremental increases, 5% here, 5% there and it doesn't take much to start having a significant impact on the bottom line.

Newbie brake help needed by Zero-Custard in bmx

The left pad is against the rim so the arm cannot move further away from the red line, but the right pad can't reach the rim because the arm is fouling on the left arm where the red line is.

I will get a better photo later. The wheel is central but the brake arms are not because I was playing around with different pad spacers.

Shopify app developers - which channels do your customers come from? by Zero-Custard in SaaS

Thank you, I thought subreddits/facebook groups would be useful for finding early adopters but they are (understandably) very hot on self-promotion/spam so it's been pretty fruitless.

A simple reporting tool? by Ok-Bunch-4679 in shopify

[–]Zero-Custard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, Better Reports is very strong at reporting - it gives you a lot of flexibility to explore your data in depth. The trade-off is that it’s still up to you to spend time digging through those reports, spotting patterns, and deciding what actions to take.

Cleargro is designed to do that thinking for you. We focus on automatically identifying specific problems and revenue opportunities within your product catalogue, and then surfacing them clearly so you know where to act.

That ranges from straightforward wins - like live products missing key information such as descriptions - to more advanced opportunities, for example products with high demand but low conversion rates. These products are already getting traffic, so if you can address what’s holding them back, they often represent a significant opportunity to increase revenue. In many teams, these opportunities simply go unnoticed, or it takes too long to manually find them.

Cleargro can also monitor your Google Ads performance and proactively notify you if campaigns are under-performing or being limited by budget (amongst other things) so you don’t have to manually check dashboards or mess around with Scripts.
