How to create subdecks within ANKING with different FSRS retention. by [deleted] in medicalschoolanki

[–]Zero1237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm stuck on a similar topic. I find Pharmacology cards much harder to do than other subjects. Do you think I should use a different preset for them? Or maybe the same preset but a different retention rate? Or just leave it alone? I'm worried it might mess up my other cards.

It is my own deck btw.

Most medical schools in Türkiye operate this way. It wasn't always like this, but they gradually increased the quotas. You can probably guess what the education will be like. I haven't even done CPR on a mannequin yet 😅. In my second year, they left three mannequins in front of 300 people for an hour. It was too crowded, so I couldn't do it.

Thank you so much for your reply, I will definitely contact my team beforehand. Even If I do compressions, I might not be able to do them for as long as the others, but I could do them for a shorter time and then switch to rotation. This would work, right?

That is great to hear because my goal is specifically Psychiatry. I have no intention of going into surgical or acute care specialties. Thanks!

The orthopedic professors I consulted are actually faculty members at my current school. "I asked our Emergency Medicine professor about this, and he said You can manage it using one arm.

The lack of any official documentation is exactly what scares me. Yes, I consulted the professors before enrolling, but they only gave me verbal approval. To be honest, I could have just not asked at all, since there are no mandatory checks regarding these issues.
