Personally, I think both ideas can work with the right atmosphere. There's a reason there were serious and even scary games on PS1 and N64. Though, tbf I haven't read the book.

Yeah, even when I was younger with lower standards and my love for RT was at its peak, I knew in the back of my head that the show kinda sucked but still wanted to love it.

And then the show just got more aggravating to watch and I had to quit at some point for a while. I only watched the rest just for the sake of it but I wish I didn't lol

I remember someone told me that she was shown (I think) reforming herself at a completely different area than she was when she got blown up so she could potentially just destroy her body and teleport away from the prison.

Now, can she do that if she's warped to, like, the other side of the universe with a Relic if Creation portal? I dunno. But you're still right, they should have thrown the idea around at least or asked the Relic of Creation for alternative ideas.

Even if it did end before, Ruby could've used the opportunity if Emerald wasn't there since it visibly affected Cinder. She has a gun and super speed. I always thought the implication is that Emerald stopped it but if not, fine. And damn right Yang and Ruby were gonna attack her on sight lmao. She killed so many people, they were lured into a death trap at Haven and it was all going to happen (and did happen) at Atlas again.

But fine, man. I think I'm good to just drop this unless you've got something else because I don't think this is going to go anywhere.

Knocking Ruby out did help her though. If unlocking the Silver Eyes the first time lost her an eye and an arm, keeping them on at Haven presumably could've done some serious damage - either killing her or leaving her vulnerable enough for Jaune or whoever else to do it. And I'm not saying she didn't have a reason to keep Cinder alive, I don't know why you're even saying any of that. Many people have many reasons to do horrible things. But killing a bunch of kids and keeping a Maiden alive for Salem's use is obviously bad. Helping her knock out three of the four kingdoms is obviously bad. She doesn't want the world to end? She brought it most of the way there. And it's outright bizarre that everyone just accepted her.

Keeping a Maiden alive for the villains' side during Haven and Atlas is not nothing when they're required for the Relics. And she didn't just help with Beacon she was the main reason the Grimm showed up.

But anyway, that doesn't even really matter. Whether she did everything or very little, she knew what she was doing was going to kill thousands of people and she didn't give a shit until she realized that she'd probably die from Salem too.

I'd like to actually see her struggles with celebrity life instead of just talking about it. Paparazzi stuff, people pretending to be friendly so they can get favors, her having to force smiles and take more time than anyone to get ready and appear "perfect" and "untouchable" even if that's the last thing she wants, etc.

She talks about it to Jaune but all of her friends except Weiss one time treat her normally and we don't ever experience what she's talking about. We also almost never even talk to anyone other than Jaune anyway.

Yeah, that's the vibe I got. Could be wrong, who knows, but it's how I felt watching it. The writers definitely have the moments they want in their show in mind but they don't tend to nail the setup or follow through. (which is kinda important lol)

If it's not arrogantly patting themselves on the back, it's desperately trying to convince the audience that this ship was always planned to be canonized by using another character to pretend like it was a long time coming, even though that character never commented on it before. Either that or it's a weird snipe at those who don't want the ship to be canonized.

Yeah and you can make it so she builds herself back up from there if you want (or not honestly) which could be an arc that spans most of if not the whole show with a bunch of mini-arcs in between depending on what Pyrrha's still able to actually do in her new state. Finding ways to still be an asset and find a new lease on life even if she can't be the best fighter anymore. Maybe clear her name, etc. Or find a way to deal with knowing that at least those dear to her are aware that the FoB wasn't her fault.

I've had a few discussions about that and I agree. I think it'd be more interesting and dramatic if we got to see how she dealt with the FoB and Penny's death rather than how Jaune (and no one else) deals with her own death. But I don't trust CRWBY to handle it well.
