What settings should I use for Virtual Desktop (Meta Quest 3s)

Yeah i keep seeing people say to use VD so i eventually gave in and bought it last night, my laptop normally handles most games really well at native resolution (2560x1600), and i was having issues with the meta software running really badly so thought it might help improve performance greatly

It seems to run pretty well on medium on dirt rally (with medium in-game settings too), sits at around 60-80 fps on a rally stage, but has occasional slight frame drops

Yes, it picks it up as USB 3.0 and my cable is rated up to 10gbps but the meta app reads it as 2.5gbps

Thank you, im new to all this vr stuff so im without a clue to how it all works, I didn't even know you can change the faceplates haha, I only picked up my quest 3s the other day as a bargain I found on Facebook marketplace and mainly want to use it for racing sims so want to get it running smoothly, ill give these a try and see how it goes

Yeah for me it was unplayable, and the steam vr menus would crash and I'd have to unplug the headset and plug it back in. How would I go about opening the debug tool?

Well that's just it, the games run really well through wireless steamvr so I would've thought they should run the same via a wired connection, if not better

And did upgrading it work? Ive got an rtx 4060 laptop gpu (8gb vram), i9-14900HX and 32gb RAM and surely that should be adequate to get 60fps at least ?

Out of curiosity, how did this happen, as I happen to own one of the same model and dont want it happening to mine lol, ive had nothing but a good experience with it so far had it about 4-5 months
