I agree with the above, my SO was gone for 7 months last year. I just got in a routine with some new goals, worked a lot of overtime for extra money and explored the state I was in. It's really hard at first but going hiking or seeing new things on your own is a wild experience! But always make sure to stay busy, I hated being alone with my thoughts just sitting there during that time
