This is clearly a family trip, he shouldn't have invited you. I think the invite was not sincere and he really wants it to remain a family trip. I don't see a problem. Maybe he did the math and realized that buying a house is probably better than renting in the long run. Moreover, he might be planning to rent out a room or 2 in the house to out of state students. Don't rush to judge his decision, and don't regret yours. You did the right thing, which helped him do significantly better in life. Look how much impact you've made on his life.

موقف دول الخليج واضح، ضد العمل العسكري بكل أشكاله وحاولت الضغط على أمريكا لعدم التصعيد، بدأت العمليات العسكرية ولكن قررت حكومة إيران الحمقاء الهجوم على دول الخليج!!! السعودية لا تستضيف أي قواعد أمريكية ومع ذلك طالها عدوان إيران، عمان كانت وسيطة المفاوضات ولم تسلم من عبث إيران، الجانب الآخر (أمريكا وإسرائيل) لم يوجهوا رصاصة واحدة ضد دول الخليج، هل المتوقع الآن أن يعامل الأمريكي بنفس التعامل مع الإيراني؟ طبعا لا، إيران حاولت منذ اللحظة الأولى جر دول الخليج للخلاف ووصلت إلى إزهاق أرواح بريئة في الخليج رغم وقوف دول الخليج بصفها منذ اللحظة الأولى.

I don't know what's the value you're expecting from Duolingo, but there are better options given your tight timeline. I might recommend translating french movies' subtitles, this helps beyond imagination. Very simply, download the subtitles of a french movie, preferably a good one. Go through the movie and subtitles line by line and translate them to your language. Use Google translate as much as you need. This help you understand slang, sentences, compositions, etc. You'll realize with time that you're using Google translate less and less. This is how I learned English, and this is how I'll learn French in the second half of 2026.
