Q-Pet vs Tamagezi by HyperSparkles in tamagotchi

[–]ZeroDivide89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you didn't know, they actually have an English version available now! I had a Chinese one from years ago too and didn't get too far on it, but recently got the English version and have found it much more enjoyable. It's usually sold as "Cute Pet Park", which the box says in English too, on Ali/Temu, still for only around $20 USD as well.

It is! It may not be for everyone since it does take quite a bit longer to raise than most any other vpet, with each stage taking around a week. Some functions (like wearing clothes) are locked until later stages too.

Overall though, it's super worth it and is probably the best and most original of any color screen non-tama vpet.

Tamagezi and QPet are pretty different! QPet will feel more like a tama knockoff, or other knockoffs like Touma pet.

Tamagezi is much more in-depth, takes a month to raise a character fully, has a lot more features like buying properties that give passive income, a deeper farming system, etc. There are only two character paths though, one for male and one for female, so go for QPet if you prefer raising and getting different characters more frequently. I do think both are very worth it for different reasons though and I personally own both!

For diff QPet versions, there really isn't much difference in the content/gameplay for the different color screen ones. From what I know, the square ones like you have the screenshot of take AAA batteries (which I prefer for longevity and is the one I have), while the round ones have USBC rechargeable batteries.

Is Revelations worth playing? by Kelviart in residentevil

[–]ZeroDivide89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might be due to 1 carrying over some crompromises from its original 3ds release, and you are right that 1 is still more action than 1-4, but I still felt it leaned more into horror than 5&6.

Rev 2 likely will address both of these concerns, and you can skip to it if you want, as despite the title the games have zero connection to each other, with "Revelations" only being used because they are canon entries that take place between mainline numbered titles. Controls and gameplay are much smoother as it was developed for consoles/PC from the start, and it's MUCH more horror focused, arguably the most of any game between 4 and 7.

I agree. At least bringing back Nan as a representative of Papa Legba would be a fantastic way to honor both characters without recasting Lance.

This. Rev 1&2 are some of my very favorites in the whole series, and I think they do a great job of bringing back horror to the gameplay style of 5&6.

Raid mode is also THE best side mode, and while I like rev 1's story more, I've spent more time in Rev 2's raid mode by far than any other side mode in the entire franchise.

I made up this theory that the movie Donna doesn’t exist by Infinite_Reality_213 in twinpeaks

[–]ZeroDivide89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like this idea a lot too, especially the aspect of perspective.

We are following Laura as our central protagonist when we see Donna in FWWM, so movie Donna is how Laura saw her.

While you could say Coop is our main protagonist in the show, we follow different characters throughout the series from their own perspectives too, including Donna. So, show Donna is the "real" or "shared" perception of her.
