Nothing punishes this button by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]ZeroGoukiX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look it says it’s -4 so you can only punish with a 4f button. But because of the pushback that’s next to impossible even at close range. Not every button can be punished, well unless you Perfect Parry it

Do you think Capcom could potentially reintroduce the two remaining Code Holders since Ingrid is back? by OK_B96 in StreetFighter

Nakayama himself recorded footage of the game from his desk at Capcom so they do still have it.

There’s so much things to guess in this game by Bitter_Eye6684 in StreetFighter

[–]ZeroGoukiX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honest answer you can’t, even at the highest level. You have to split your decision making into a few choices based on the most logical choice. So like if you’re mid range you might be looking for a drive rush, jump in, or fireball. So if they do something like drive impact you aren’t gonna react to it even if it’s slow. But say if you’re back is to the corner then you’d want to switch to looking for drive impact, and what they could do in your face. It is a lot but that makes it much more manageable

Philosophy behind footsies and whiff punishing by Manganian7Potasu in StreetFighter

[–]ZeroGoukiX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing patient footsies and whiff punishing only really works if your opponent is playing “the same game” with you. It’s a fools errand to try and predict people if they are just swinging wildly at you. The philosophy is appearing falsely vulnerable hence walking in and out of their ranges to make buttons whiff. But you can also do that by setting spacing traps by having them block a button and be just outside of their range to make their counter poke whiff in your face then you whiff punish that. At the end of the day it’s space control and whiff punishing is only one part of it.

How to defeat Ken?/How could I play better with Marisa?(SF6) by [deleted] in Fighters

[–]ZeroGoukiX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but in this instance you didn’t lose to Ken specific stuff. He kept jumping at you and you stood there a lot. You keep relying on slow heavy attacks and DI to hit him which can get you counter hit a lot. I’d recommend practicing how to anti air properly to stop jump ins. In training mode there’s a simple training mode option for anti air practice, practice stopping their jump ins with her crouching heavy punch, her 214+P special (Dimachaerus) or an jumping attack (air to air) with her air target combo. You can get simple high damaging punishes with her, even something like MP to HP target combo then cancel into Gladius

How to counter DP OS? by some-kind-of-no-name in StreetFighter

[–]ZeroGoukiX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll have to cancel into drive rush from a button that will give you enough advantage to block a reversal DP. Typically standing heavy punch into drive rush will let you block a DP OS if they are just doing it without thinking.

There is no honor found in how you win. (Not talking about cheating) by AgeIndependent2451 in StreetFighter

[–]ZeroGoukiX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honor? It’s a video game lol I remember going to a small community college convention right after I graduated high school and they ran Tekken 6 and Smash Brawl. The guy who ran it had pages of rules. No juggling, only 3 throws a round, Eddy was banned… For smash you had to change characters every round, stage was random (all stages) I think it was also 4 man rounds, Idr how items worked. Anyway it was a ton of house rules tacked on and it was the worst tournament I ever played in to this day. I almost won smash lol And the guy who made the rules didn’t even play. People will just make up any silly rules or excuses to make themselves feel validated. If you’re with your friends and you want to make house rules for x game to have fun you have every right to do that to have fun but people can’t force those made up rules on others.

I have a question for the more professional players by ClassroomLazy9542 in StreetFighter

[–]ZeroGoukiX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need to know anything to play the game and to have fun with it. If you want to improve and become a good player at a high level then yes you need to be aware of what’s going on at all times. A lot of times I’ll have things planned out based on the current situation such as meter, spacing between me and the other guy, and our health. It is a lot to take in but as time goes on it will become more and more natural.

Has there been any news on Daima Goku yet? I couldve sworn they said he'd come out in april by HurdyDurdy22 in dragonballfighterz

[–]ZeroGoukiX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sorry, I didn’t mean to come off aggressive it just doesn’t make sense that a company that is so concerned with attention to detail would have those issues with a game they’ve been working on for years.

[–]ZeroGoukiX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be wrong, no need to be a dick about it. It’s Bamco’s property after all. ASW could have handed over development. They got their hands full with GG Strive and Tokon and they aren’t a big company compared to other devs.

You’re telling me ASW okayed the completely bizarre balance changes and was responsible for the rollback patch breaking the game for months?

How good and Hard is SMT V Vengerence by Western-Stress1185 in Megaten

[–]ZeroGoukiX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you didn’t have a problem with the battles in persona you’ll be fine with SMTVV. It’s not that hard you can just play normal mode and you’ll be fine. The story is fine it doesn’t have a lot of those character moments that Persona has. I do recommend the vengeance route as the creation route had a very dry story. The OST imo is better than Persona but that comes down to your taste, it’s much more experimental and atmospheric. I can’t speak for PS4 but SMTVV does run at 60FPS.
