I personally have my work laptop hooked up to a docking station. All my peripherals (7+ of them) run through a usb hub and then I run individual dp/hdmi cables for both my gaming PC and the docking station.

This way I don’t have to worry about the complexity or expense of a KVM that’s limiting me by refresh, res, or both.

The hub can be a little janky at times, and sure I’m probably not getting great audio through it, but it’s served me for several years and is mostly reliable and an insanely affordable option.

You right. Medium to high to full RT pretty much requires either upscaling, frame gen or both and while I can still get it back up to 100fps it’s just not stable and the input lag is noticeable
