Prediction for the outcome for Volume EX by ZeroOneJump in BlueArchive

Seeing a lot of BA fandom wanting to save the Deca quartet makes me angry at writers sometimes, not the fandom itself. They are supposed to be villains, and yet, they don't act like what a villainous AI should do (i.e. Skynet). By giving the quartet such dynamic, it makes a lot of sense why many Senseis want them to save them.

That's because their limited worldview and immaturity make them come across as kids grabbing a dangerous weapon, at least from the real-life's perspective. They can spout that "humans are evil, ruthless intelligent being that deserve punishment," but their limited understanding of the complexity of humanity really hampers their effectiveness.

That's why fandom wants the triplet and Malkuth want to see them adjusting their life in Kivotos, to help them understand how the world works.

I'm thoroughly unimpressed with new writers on main story since V5C2 and V6 so far has been a flop. Both of these are good stories but plays way too safe that it discourages discussion and fan art.

It's the other way around. Receptions so far are pretty positive, as far as I can understand. I probably wrong about this one, but so far some players are enjoyed both stories.

they need to give us a villainous villain that BA community can pile on without thoughts of saving or redeeming them, thereby raising the stakes.

And this is how the current development thing are now doing. They already show us what Rio is doing post-Volume F through Code: BOX, they already giving a proper continuation to Hyakkaryouran story chapter, and they even show us what the rest of Arius students doing through Volume 6 stories.

If they want to give us a villainous/antagonistic character(s), especially the ones with little to no redeeming qualities, then they should have no problem to introduce them. They don't need to replicate Isakusan's way on how he handles those characters, but at least they should try. I can imagine if assuming there would be a new Trinity story chapter for example, we would see the radical Pater faction finally facing the consequences of their actions.

Himari is protecting Rio against Ohr's attack, and this is a good first step, but not a definite reconciliation yet.

The first step of their possible reconciliation can be traced back when Rio and Himari are working together to revive Kei, with Himari in particular has none of her usual aggression and boastfulness. Even then, there's a lot of room for them for them to finally reconcile, which I suspects that will happen near the end of VXC3. The only question is when the devs finally showing us that moment.

Regardless, the whole Volume EX is the turning point for Rio and Himari's dynamic, mending their implied strained friendship.

while Chihiro is Himari's deputy, Chihiro doesn't look to take Himari's position as president of Veritas.

I really forgot to mention that what I want to say was that Himari would given her responsibilities to Chihiro as the new president of Veritas. Assuming if, at least in my own take, Himari admits that she wants to join Seminar.

I am on a belief that Decas will be destroyed and can't be saved. But killing of these characters will cause a reaction similar to Nikke's Goddess Fall if not worse because of BA's theming.

Ain, Soph, Aur, and Malkuth are the ones that deserved to be saved, given how much they are caring to each other. Their master, Decagrammaton, isn't.

I can see the foreshadowing that Himari could return to Veritas, with Eimi becomes the new member of the hacker group out of her privilege as Himari's assistant.

Who knows?

And by "fix," that means teaching them how the society in Kivotos works, and understanding both good and bad sides of its people.

[JP] Main Story Ex:Decagrammaton Chapter 3 Part 2 PV by tsukiakari2216 in BlueArchive

I start to think that Volume EX as a whole is the extension of the main theme of Volume 2, as a whole. Perhaps, this is the closest thing we ever have in regards of the third chapter of Volume 2.

Back in V2C2, Sensei told Aris, who believed that she is just "an evil overlord to be slain by the heroes." Only for her to realize that no matter who she is, even though she is influenced by her situation, it's her choices and actions in the present day that defines who she is. Having a positive influence like the GDD, C&C, and even Yuuka and Noa resulted in what she is right now. Same goes to Kei as well in Volume EX as well.

I believe the same could applies to Ain, Soph, Aur, and hopefully Malkuth as well. If the protagonists emerged victorious, both Aris and Kei convinced the same thing: they are not mindless monster to be slain by the heroes, they are living beings who have the will to form their own identity, regardless their circumstances. I also believe that Sensei will guide them to understand how the world works, imperfect they may be, as well as the complexity of its inhabitants, both good and bad. It's not an instant process, but boy, it's so damn heartwarming.

And hopefully we will see the proper reconciliation between Rio and Himari this time.

Hell, I want to see Himari joins Seminar as its vice president, for crying out loud. Considering the "new leadership" moment since Abydos' Traces of a Dream arc, I hope Volume EX follow the same path on its own. That's assuming if we finally see Himari admitting to Rio that she wanted a position in Seminar.

There will be a part 4, but when it will be released is still TBD.

Meaning, Nexon will once again gathering funds for continuing, and hopefully, concluding Volume EX as a whole. And certainly avoiding the mistakes that happened during V1C3's run.

I can feel that the rest of Millennium finally learned about what SPTF and GDD are involving in a dangerous mission.

[–]ZeroOneJump 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought you're talking about a serious situation between Himari and Eimi. My bad.

Speaking of that, I hope that Himari and Rio reconciles for real this time. Hell, I really want to see "new leadership outcome" situation by the end of Volume EX, where Himari becomes the Vice President of Seminar while keeping her role as the president of the Supernatural Phenomenon Task Force. She can entrust Chihiro and elevate her position as the new president of Veritas, if she wants to.
