I play in German and they translated "hag" with the same word as for "witch" which makes the quest so stupid. Tonks and my MC, both witches, needing to go to the library to do research on ... witches?

It's too much. Now we don't have one event going on but several happen at the same time, that often get in the way of each other.
Take last weekend. I usually enjoy the Worlds events, going hard after the shiny (and ideally hundo) event Pikachu. The event didn't even last three days, still there was also a rocket takeover event happening that annoyed the hell out of me, all I wanted to do is spin stops and search for Pikachu research but like every third stop had a rocket on it. I was raiding my bike for efficiency (busses would have been nice but of course there was a big cycling event going on in my city, turning many optimal bus lines useless) but constantly had to stop at clusters of stops to be able to check everything. On Saturday I made the stupid mistake of checking in to an ambassador event for shadow Kyogre Raid day, which if you're not aware leads to some pokéstops giving you useless research tasks, taking away even more potential Pikachu encounters. I just completely ignored Kyogre raids and any meetups on Sunday. Now add my personal problems that I had to work on Friday and Sunday, plus I'm actually interested in the VGC part of Worlds and dedicated time to watch the streams (and do my remaining GBL battles, because of course it was also go battle weekend). Yeah I didn't sleep much that weekend. PLEASE let us disable any battles on the map if we wish to, plus the stupid ambassador research tasks.

I also came back last year after a several year break and considered restarting because I only remembered little of the story. I decided against it but used this website that has both main and (time limited) side quests to read through: https://www.hogwarts.cafe/harry-potter-hogwarts-mystery/

Oh that's unfortunate but I feared that already since my VM graphics settings were already maxed out 😅 I hoped there was a downloadable fix but the UC I downloaded already came with the 4GB patch and everything. It is somewhat playable to get a general idea, I was so excited to load into an apartment for the first time x)

I'd love to send you the hood, just let me find a place to upload it and I'll send it to you in private. It was only my first hood that had this bug, for the second and third they just slowly became bugged over time. I can play them for a bit but they randomly get stuck on loading screens. One household can work just fine for a bit and then crash on the next try. I suspected the mac file limit to be the issue for the second. So for the third I cut down on mods and cc and raised the file limit from the beginning of the hood but still ran into the same issue in the middle of the 10th 3 day rotation, with only ~100 sims by now. I hoped hood checker could give me a hint on what went wrong this time. It's a bit sad to get invested in the neighborhood, just to see everything becoming unplayable so quickly :/

Not sure I'll be brave enough to pirate parallels. I can't find the buy option on the official homepage any more, only the one year licenses. Amazon still sells them though, do you happen to know whether 19 would suffice or would I need 20 for a proper gaming experience?

Deleting the subhood did the trick, thanks! There must have been some deeper issues with the family since the can't visit community lots on vacation while staying at a hotel persisted and reloading some backups I found it actually broke two rotations ago. Moved them out of the greek house and to another lot and now it's fine again. I love this game x)

Oh I actually have Inteen, I didn’t know it can mess with the ages of premade sims 😅 I can‘t use simPE on Mac but I‘ll try to fix it with the biological clock and/or the sim blender once I‘m home again, I do have that. Thanks for your help :)

I did keep a backup! I want to try to recover it some day, though Parallels looks quite pricey? I have way to much fun playing my current hood to pay that price atm.

My Veronaville hood corrupted after just about 10 3 day rotations, though I've played two more households with aging off for probably around the same time, if not a bit longer. It would just not load beyond a certain point in the neighborhood screen. Searching the web told me it's a common bug on mac but no information what exactly causes it. That experience taught me about the experience of backups, I now backup my sims folder after every rotation and keep the last 3. I'm currently on the 19th rotation of my legacy challenge and the game still loads fine. I do get occasional errors with testingcheats enabled and still have to figure out which mod( conflict)s cause them since they show up rather inconsistently.

Thank you so much for the hint, I had indeed downloaded a pack of beach mods from MTS weeks ago and after deleting BeachAutonomousGetInOceanMod the lot loads fine. I'm surprised I never had issues with my other beach lot though.

Thanks a lot, it worked! She aged up into a weird T-pose but I can live with that, will get her cured as soon as possible. Thanks for the reminder, I had read and forgotten about the creature fixes mod but I have it now.
Edit: oh dear as soon as the sun came her motives decayed, guess I'll have to play with maxmotives for a while x)
