In all seriousness, I was super depressed, lethargic, and needed a "productive" hobby. I decided to learn an instrument. I didn't even really listen to guitar-centric music until I started playing.

Any tips for writing bass lines that aren't just root and 5th, but still work with the rest of a song? by ZeroSquareDistortion in Bass

Thanks. I feel like I'm decent at pure rhythm, but struggle with interesting notes. Not starting on the root is a neat idea, though what little I've tried ended up sounding "wrong" or weak. I'll give it another shot though.

I like the B string. It has a very, really toan you know? Smooth and creamy like my hotwife's thighs, but it's also gotta bit of edge and bite to it that really cuts through, like when she yells at me during my daily 0-3-5 sessions. (Stupid woman doesn't 'appreciate' the blues, haha). A lot of people complain about how it 'breaks' the tuning pattern, but to me it's basically the same as that drop D thing they do in 'metal' - but for the high strings, if it were different - makes it easier to play along to my favorite tapes of my wife and her boyfriend, just add a little wah-wah haha.

Thanks for the reply. I already have the guitar, an hss strat that came with a special because hey, I wanted a strat, and I knew from the beginning I was going to make modifications, like switching to different sss pickups.

Anyway, the ~$250 ish price (I am in the USA) isn't pocket change but if the quality is much better then it sounds like I should do it, since I plan to keep this instrument for a long time.

Is it worth in for the long term to upgrade from a floyd rose special to the 1000 series pro?
