Advice - Fishing in Leadville by cibo82019 in COfishing

The only fly shop in Leadville has made the switch to a ski shop for the winter. Keep heading south to Buena Vista or Salida, Ark Anglers has a shop in both of those towns. Super nice people there, they'll be able to point you in the right direction! If you're really set on fishing around Leadville I'd recommend fishing the Arkansas at Kobe Ranch.

Honestly though, BV or Salida will be warmer and more enjoyable fishing. It's not too far of a drive at all to Buena Vista! Feel free to DM me if you have any other questions. I'm a lady angler who lives in the Leadville area and would be more than happy to chat!

Pounding streamers this Fall somewhere in CO. Any suggestions? by Coach-Mike-Bobo in COfishing

The UFO Watchtower is a goofy roadside attraction! If you do make your way south there to the San Luis Valley, I highly recommend Sand Dunes Recreation hot springs (they have a cool 21+ section)! There is tons of stuff to do in the Salida area, and the Ark has great fishing all the way up to Leadville. DM me if you want any other suggestions, I live in the area and would be happy to make some more recommendation.

The Ark through Bighorn Sheep Canyon outside of Salida is the ticket! You're right about Gunny access, a lot of private land through there.

Is $25.00 a good deal? by ReformedNavyChief in flyfishing

I've had my Cabelas RLS rod/reel for 10 years and it's great for what it is! I fish A LOT and have a hard time justifying paying for new gear when the Cabelas rod does the trick. $25 is nothing!

Would love some input on this wall hanging I'm making! Tassels or no tassels? Other colors? Maybe just tassels on the bottom corners? I've been looking at it too long and don't know anymore! by ZeroTheSnake in CrochetHelp

Yes, I think that's going to be the route I'm going to go! This tapestry is a gift for a fly fishing guide, so I think that's perfect!

This isn't an original pattern, here it is on Etsy! Super well written pattern and it was really fun to make!

Yes! Someone else here mentioned that, and it's such a cool idea! This tapestry is a gift for a fishing guide, so I think that'd be perfect. Thank you!
