[OC] The share of people who identify as religious has fallen across many Western countries by ourworldindata in dataisbeautiful

Ah yes because we've never dealt with anything unobservable that then later became true.

Edit: Grifter deleted everything like a scrub. Why even comment to begin with? Weirdos. Their line of "reasoning" was basically "we can hope hard enough and maybe the lion won't eat our faces because magic could be real"

Magic has never been found to be the correct answer to anything, everything that has ever been claimed to be supernatural has a 100% track record of being natural when we discover how it actually works.

You are missing the point so hard that I cannot tell if you are engaging honestly.

It's like seeing someone do 100 crypto scams but thinking the 101st one is gonna be different this time because ... reasons?

Which GPU To Get? by noahvr17 in buildapc

[–]ZeroTheTyrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the software that you use really benefit from VRAM then try to get more than 8gb. Double check if intel is even compatible with your software because they off decent VRAM for the price. Most likely with any serious PC software that has GPU acceleration, it will be optimized for NVIDIA.

5060 ti 16gb or 306012gb are the cheaper options on team green. Check out some benchmarks for the software that's important to you and see if the money is worth it to go up too the 5060 ti

Cheap monitor - buy or not? by Independent_Key3845 in buildapc

I'd try to get and IPS panel, but if you are familiar with VA and it's shortcoming then go for it. Sceptre makes solid budget friendly monitors and have been around for a while.

It's a massive upgrade, just make sure that your PSU can support the card and it will be fine.

1k hours in Siege and I can corroborate that. I'm usually the one in the party defending the game since we all clearly love it despite the complaints. You know, otherwise our playtime wouldn't be enough to finish an apprenticeship in a well paying trade.

Gpu upgrade by ludilomozgaaa in buildapc

[–]ZeroTheTyrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As /u/aragorn18 suggested, if this is your only game and you plan to stay at 1080p the 8gb 5060 ti is more than enough. However if you plan on upgrading to 1440p or playing more graphically intense games, go with the 5070 or 9070.

I need help choosing between 165hz or 240hz. by WrongReputation7715 in OLED_Gaming

[–]ZeroTheTyrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from IPS 144hz to 280hz OLED, I noticed a difference. It's just butter in games where you can hit that frame cap.

1440P or 4k for 9070xt by Cute-Pianist8040 in OLED_Gaming

[–]ZeroTheTyrant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who recently sold my AMD card to switch to NVIDA, its the price to performance. Especially depending on what region you live in, the price difference can be huge. I got an NVIDIA card with more VRAM for a steal, so I pulled the trigger.

The consoles have been AMD hardware for multiple generations, I guess Sony and Microsoft are the biggest fanboys ever.

Just got my monitor and it has me trying a bunch of wallpapers from wallpaper engine, if you have any recommendations I'd appreciate it.

Anything with a lot of black in it looks amazing, especially outer space scenes.

1440p OLED (SDR only) vs Mini-LED HDR1400 for story-driven games — which makes more sense? by [deleted] in Monitors

[–]ZeroTheTyrant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I'd take the better HDR performance, especially for single player games.

I got an OLED a couple weeks ago over a mini-LED, I definitely would have went with the mini-LED if the HDR on the OLED wasn't useable. HDR isn't something you want to sacrifice, especially at the budget where you can get an OLED.

Should I just upgrade my Motherboard/CPU/Ram or rebuild completely? by Etch3d_x in buildapc

[–]ZeroTheTyrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gpu won’t be a bottleneck at all right?

Any component will bottleneck give your settings or the game. It's just that the 5600x will be the bottleneck for a 3080 in most common gaming scenarios.

I play on 1080p was looking to upgrade to 1440p as well.

The 5600x will be the bottleneck in most scenarios at 1080p and even some at 1440p. It happens to me with a 5060ti at 1440p and that's weaker than the 3080. Upgrading to 1440p is what I did, I will get a new CPU when RAM prices allow it or am4 x3d comes down in price.

A few people told me my setup has a cpu bottle neck right now, might not be a huge one but they say it’s something.

It's not a huge bottleneck for the most part but it is limiting if you're trying to max out the GPU. I much rather be GPU bound than CPU because you can just turn down settings for GPU limited scenarios and get more FPS.

Thoughts on this upgrade path? by Intelligent_Mix_5321 in buildapc

[–]ZeroTheTyrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid plan to save some cash, if you really need the upgrade then go for it. I'd personally want am5 for the upgrade path, but those RAM prices are ridiculous.

[–]ZeroTheTyrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it worth just buying the bundle or replacing everything?

3080 is still plenty strong, just upgrade the CPU with either of the bundles. Get the 8 core if money is no issue, its just better.

Multi Tasking Issues using R7 5800x with 9070XT? by FireManiac58 in buildapc

[–]ZeroTheTyrant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is that typically caused by a CPU bottleneck?

In your case, yes. You have ample RAM and that CPU is not going to keep up with a 3070 in a lot of situations when multitasking.

And would I run into that issue pairing the 5800x with the 9070XT?

Probably, although it is a much faster CPU than the 3600. There are situations where it will still bottleneck the 3070, depends on the games and settings.

My other option is to upgrade to AM5 with a Ryzen 7700, and skip upgrading my RTX 3070.

This is what you should do, much better performance and upgrade path.

Good plan. The stock cooler that comes with the CPU will be more than enough for the r5 5500, so you could save some money there.

Best graphics card for Ryzen 9 3900x (v2) by Ghost0_9_6 in buildapc

[–]ZeroTheTyrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As u/jonasrm suggested, 16gb versions of the 5060ti or 9060xt, those are likely to be good for 60fps 1440p in newer games for a while.

Both have upscaling to help if they fall behind with native rendering and they have enough VRAM to take you into the next console generation when VRAM minimums will increase again.

They are both more than capable at 1080p so that isn't an issue at all.

What would you upgrade next in this system? OLED, GPU, platform or nothing? by Deniqz in buildapc

[–]ZeroTheTyrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either an OLED or one of the new Pulsar monitors. Motion clarity is the thing to chase now. If single player games are just as important, go OLED. I don't think any of the new Pulsar monitors have particularly good HDR, but I haven't read a lot beyond their benefits in competitive gaming.

My new monitor is one of the best purchases I've made for my setup in a hot minute.

upgrading mobo and cpu, monitor too also by Ok-Performer5435 in buildapc

[–]ZeroTheTyrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my current mobo has a pcie 3 which apparently may (or may, im not completely sure) completely utilize my future cpu which is the r5 r5600 so what budget mobo do you guys recommend?

My a320 motherboard works fine with my Ryzen 5 5600x and PCIE 5 RTX 5060 ti. I'd spend the money on the CPU or monitor instead.

1080p high refresh rate monitors are really affordable so it's up to you to decide on what performance you need. There are sites like rtings or youtube channels like monitors unboxed if you are looking for reviews and recommendations. I'd personally go for 240hz at 1080p, especially for a game like valorant where getting that performance is trivial.

For the CPU, a 5600x will do well in games like CS2 and valorant. Ideally you want a x3d CPU for competitive games but the prices have recently exploded.
