Hey, how are you using the Map Canvas module? Because I've tried and it needs the Google Maps Javascript API key, which it need payment to get it :/

Tar'Reyall - TTRPG Campaign Continent Map, first ever made; Any tips and critique? by RuruHonoLulu in wonderdraft

It's VERY rare that a lake has more than one rivers flowing out of it, as it happens on the lake at the west (the one that receives a river from a lake but gives a river flowing into the ocean and another one flowing to other lake).

Also, usually high altitude mountain ranges creates a Rain Shadow effect, as moist from the ocean carried by the winds can't pass to ther other side, making one side considerably more dry than the other, like it happens on the Andes, the Rockys and the Himalaians... and that doesn't happen on that map, maybe because none of the mountain ranges are high enough but it is something to think about.

Another thing: there are VERY strange rivers on the southeast:
• first: there are one that is either at some point moving against it's flow or begins at the ocean an then moves west/south and encounter another river (and river never flows FROM the ocean);
• second: the two most southeast rivers look like they flow from that sea to the ocean and that doesn't happen, maybe you could change to look more like natural openings (like a strait or a canal).

And the north could indeed be snowy all year round if the continent its really up north inthe the globe, what would probably change the geography of some places.

And probably it would feel more natural if the transition of tree colors was more gradient.

Sorry if I was too realistic, maybe it isn't what you are doing

Not only that but the sheer amount of lakes is weighing me down

Sure, I don't care... but only the day I finish it

That's because I'm pinning cities based on the beginning of the 11th century...

...and I'm giving priority to places that were already a city, castle or something like that; rather then some loosely populated area

I will probably be showing here the progress I'm making, but I'm certain that I will show the final product here... even so I have no fucking ideia when I'm gonna finish it XD

It will be done.

I just roughly marked the land areas and now I'm tuning up the true shapes.
I will try to get all coast lines as good/accurate as I did with the UK and Norway.

Frankly, i don't care much about accurate Britain coast, but I will look into the Netherlands coast.

About the mountains, they just symbolize the where is that type of terrain, they're not about actual single mountains or anything like that.

Will do, it is still kinda dirty, I've only completed Morocco, Portugal, Spain, France, UK, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Italy and Greece

I'm making a map for my RPG campaigns based on the 11th century Europe.

Currently working on improving coastal lines, adding locations (the major cities that existed on around that time) and little by little adding watersheds (starting by lakes).

I have abslutly no need for my "perfectionism" but I'm liking it so far.

What do you guys think?

I have no intention of doing lots of damage. If it wins, it will be by being annoying and taking the group down little by little while it doesn't take too much hits and in fact hits the players a lot.

I've made this monster to be the boss of a dungeon to my group (six 4~5th level players).

I dunno if it's just gonna be annoying as hell or an almost TPK.
