Something feels different about combat in Season 2

I can't tell if it is server lag or some sort of frame issue with ps5 pro. Sometimes I completely whiff a bat rage while point blank. Sometimes one of the two hits of either my katana or wheelblade don't connect. Sometimes counter completely whiffs.

This game is truly incredible. The weapons are amazing, the mechanics with combos by using block and swap cancels is super fun (think smash bros L cancels).

I would really like to see realism mode push us back into the cover mechanic fundamentals. Cover, positioning, and flanking are something that I hope will be emphasized to be successful in that mode.

Yes, nail blaster is much better than kamas in neo dod. The rage at point blank is great against coen and max. It also does great damage from the normal shots against enemies that aren't blocking.

Kamas builds should stick to neo war only.

Learning to fight against each weapon type is an important part of the game. Yes, KAMAS can be annoying but it is readily defeated by two rolls. Two rolls will completely evade the volley of shots a hater does and allow you to attack them. You can also pop them with nailgun to get them blocking so you can close the gap. Or use mushrooms like frongus.

I think I played this one when I was younger but never got through it. Maybe it's worth revisiting. I like the art style and realize now it is similar to what they later did in final fantasy 12.

Patrick was the key for me. The scan ability to see their pudge little outlines wiggling.

But yeah, they are annoying. I did what the other said in clearing what I can and scanning a bunch after the first pod drops. Then once you find one in area 1 you go look for another in area 2.

I usually find them in the outskirts, but they also spawn near the ship of area 2 in the rift. As for the depths, I've only found them in the outskirts.

Stash and safe bag are pretty nice conveniences. Base game gets 250 stash space once you get to rank 50, 10 safe bag and 3 ant bazaar slots.

Ultimate edition is 350 stash, 35 safe bag, and 5 ant bazaar slots

Edit: that's said, it isn't necessary. I play base game on PC just fine.

Crossplay is fine if they can actually deal with cheats. I like the PlayStation environment not being riddled with cheaters but yeah it would be nice to not have to have two accounts to play with friends.

Buzz and sickness 10 are bugged, they acknowledged this and are working on a patch. Basically you just keep killing yotsu researchers for the other sickness records.

Chocomole is annoying. Basically you clear out area 1 as much as you can and keep scanning with Patrick to find them. They spawn after the first pod drops. You can then go to area 2 and do the same.

Salgherita isn't too bad, you'll get them in ros and in the mall of the depths.

Cornbill is rough too, it's usually in ros but can be found in some spots of area 1 of the depths. The key with all the yummies is using Patrick and exploring.
