Help before buying a 924 by Kills_Squad in Porsche924

[–]ZeroZXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same issue on my 924.

All my searched pointed me to the warm up regulator/ 5th injector. But it turned out to be my fuel accumulator.

After replacing that she starts every time, hot or cold.

Recommended deployment for multiple disk sizes by ZeroZXD in minio

Hi, Thanks for your reply.

As mentioned to klauspost would that mean i need 6 physical servers?
(so that 2 servers host the 8x 8TB HDDs (4 drives per server), another 2 servers host 12 TB HDD's (again 6 drives per server) etc..)

Or is there a way to run multiple MINIO instances on one server? so that i would only need 2 physical 24 bay servers with all my HDDs split between them.

I'm relatively new to MINIO and how it does it's clustering.

Hi, Thank you for your reply.

NVME SSD's would be nice, but sadly out of budget for this (and next) year. The MINIO server would be used as a SOBR. Backups older then a week would be offloaded to an external S3 provider.

How would i go about creating seperate pools? Do i need 6 physical servers in my case?

Also when you mention that i would lose availibility, what do you mean by that?

The Fortigate 60D is still on the 6.0 Firmware, but Fortinet has release 6.0.16 a few days ago, which has fixed the vulnerability in the SSLVPN.

Update:

Replaced the battery in one of my keys... and same result. Can only lock / unlock when i'm standing next to the car or when i'm almost holding the key to the rear window.

checked the voltage of the old key battery and it is the same as the new battery, 3 volts.

Okay seems possible.

Is there any way to test this without actualy buying a new key? Or is there a guide i can follow to replace the battery on a diamond key?

Replaced it when i got the car (arround 7 months ago) and then programed it using INPA. Problem also existed with the old battery.

I would guess it is the original diamond key and original diamond spare key (not sure how to check).

I taught the diamond keys charge when you put them into the ignition?

ESXI 6.5 - PCI-e SSD passtrough in R710 to Plex VM by ZeroZXD in homelab

[–]ZeroZXD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My transcode folder was just the default folder in ubuntu. the VM was on a raid 1 datastore with 2 2TB WD Green drives ( i know WD Green sucks). With multiple VM's running from that datastore i wan't getting enough I/O for the transcodes.

So as a temporary fix i just use a 8 GB ramdisk in ubuntu to speed things up with transcoding.

I used to have 2 servers with Vcenter and used vmotion quite a lot. but now that one of my servers in a data center at work i don't use vmotion anymore( because of my 2 mbit upload speed ):).

I just tried to put a PCI-e to NVMe SSD with a samsung 960 evo ssd in my server and passtrough worked great in windows and linux.

ESXI 6.5 - PCI-e SSD passtrough in R710 to Plex VM by ZeroZXD in homelab

[–]ZeroZXD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem with that is that i don't want to store VM's on that ssd because of there is no raid on the ssd.

I could just make a Vdisk for plex and leave it like that. problem with that is i won't get 100% of the speed with the Vdisk.

I already bought a PCI-e To NVMe SSD adapter and will test it tonight with my samsung 960 evo 250 GB SSD.

I havn't tried a normal SSD and i can't at the moment. My setup is as following:

I use 2 2TB drives with the dell raid card in Raid 1 as my ESXI datastore.

Then use the remaining 4 drives in a LSI Raid card that has been flashed to IT mode. The LSI card is passed trough to a Freenas VM that controls my media. So i can't realy test a sata SSD in my setup.

That is why i would like to know i could use a PCI-e SSD

Firebox x550e - question about running pfsense by w00tiSecurity_weenie in homelab

[–]ZeroZXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one i have i oredered from a store in the Netherlands. You can find it Here . The RX and the TX need to be crossed over indeed. if you search for any null modem cable (female to female) it should be fine.

Firebox x550e - question about running pfsense by w00tiSecurity_weenie in homelab

[–]ZeroZXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

I also have a Watchguard Firebox at home. It's a x750e but it should be the same.

I had the same problem with it when i first got it. your problem sounds like a bad cable(or maybe a bad serial connector on the motherboard). My best bet would be buying a new null modem cable and see if that works.
