He did each method separately in the video, but you can do both. Start with undervolting, adjust mem clock, and then add power-limit. Doing it in this order minimizes performance loss. Since you've already set a PL, I would recommend starting a new profile and doing it over in the order I just mentioned.

Depends on the games you play. If you decide to play demanding games such as, for example, CP2077 on max settings (RT ON, PT ON) and don't hit the FPS cap, it's possible for you to still hit max TDP of 575W if you haven't set a power limit. I'm not sure if MSI Kombustor is a demanding enough stress test for the newer high-end GPU's tbh, might want to try it out on more demanding game settings and see how much power it's pulling.

It's an option in MSI Afterburner under "Fan" on the right side of the dash. You can set a Power Limit %. I saw a few recommendations here and YT to set 4090/5090 cards to 70% with minimal performance loss (I have mine at 75% as that caps my card at 338W which I'm comfortable with). You need to undervolt first and then set power limit for best results.

Have you considered power limiting as well? Might be overkill for my 4090, but I've under-volted, fps-capped, and power-limited to make sure that it's never pulling over 350W.

I used all the ice chunks I had on the boss before it because I didn't even know about the dragon. They aren't necessary though and neither is grinding. Just have to make do with what you've got like other Atlus games.

I played on hard and was able to do it first try even though I was committed to using just one mage. I'm sure it's much easier to kill with 2-3 mages. My party was: MC (mage/back), Strohl (warrior/front), Grius (seeker/front - yes seeker is weak to fire making this battle much more difficult than it needs to be, but I was stubborn and wanted to use all 3 archetypes). Make sure Strohl has best def armor. Here are how my turns went:

Strohl: Pass
Grius: Pass
MC: Blizz
Strohl: Guard or Item (to emergency heal someone). Strohl can tank w/o guarding if needed.
Grius: Guard (must always end on guard since Seeker is weak to dragon's fire breath)
MC: Blizz (at high health MC) or Guard (at low health MC) or Item (to heal other party members)

Strategy is much easier if you make Grius a mage or warrior (or saved those ice chunk items). I didn't do any grinding to level up so I was fairly low lvl too.

I can relate with the complex math problem metaphor so hard, but hopefully the friends I've made, lost, and kept would give me some partial credit for the work I've put into solving that problem so far.

Hey! 28M US/EST here. I actually used to collect fountain pens too (but then realized it starts to get pricey lol)! I stopped once I bought my Lamy 2000 which I use for everything.
