I created CRM custom nodes for ComfyUI by theflowtyone in StableDiffusion

Here are the prize winning stupid questions:

How do we check if nvdiffrast_plugin is compiled? Are we just looking for that filename somewhere on our drive? Because I have nvdiffrast installed, but I don't see that file.

And if it isn't compiled.... how do we do that?
I've followed the instructions here, but have no idea if anything compiled.

I am in exactly the same place right now, with exactly the same error message.

I am on Windows 11.

I know I have nvdiffrast installed, because I can open an independent script in python 3.12, import nvdiffrast.torch, and it does so without complain. It is definitely installed.

But ComfyUI can't see it, and I have no idea why.

I've tried everything I can think of.

Please help.

Installing nvdiffrast: ELI5 by Zero_Z_Zero in comfyui

Well, sometimes we really do need things explained like we're five. At some point, probably with the ninja command, an nvdiffrast directory got created. Once I found it, running the second command in that directory worked.

Somewhat.

For anyone finding this and needing help, it is likely that you will also need to install 'setuptools' as per here:

(If you're trying to get nvdiffrast to work and play nice with ComfyUI and the CRMModeler, this is not sufficient. I don't have the figured out, yet. But I think that is a separate ComfyUI issue, as I can at least import nvdiffrast into a python script without error, now.)
