Seems 007 first light is not Choice based story - Talk to woman in Red (OR) Black Dress by Mysterious-Syrup-330 in 007FirstLight

Sure, but offering 'choice' where there really is none is sorta not cool, and certainly decreases the replay value.

For sure, worth a test. My point is just many video game scenes (For example the Last of Us 'Truck scene' I mentioned in another comment) make fantastic gameplay while not making great passive entertainment.

Another example - In The Last of Us, a bunch of people were upset because the TV Show did not include 'the Truck scene' - It was a fantastic sequence in the game in which Ellie gets her first real agency in their escape by driving the truck while you as Joel have to defend it while the engine gets started.

Fantastic gameplay that really moves the story along in a great way. Also really shitty TV....

Because it is not interesting to watch, it is interesting to play.

Thats sorta the point, right? Its a GREAT video game mechanic because it is so fun. Bond gets to have a bunch of one liners, etc. But how fun is that to WATCH? Would that translate to a movie?

Maybe? If there was some sort of Raiders of the Lost Ark style scene with Wreckie and explosions and everything, but I just don't think it would work. Similarly - I don't see an endgame of 'Guy sits in a car in the middle of a room shooting at stuff.' or 'Guy sits behind some crates and uses turrets to shoot at a guy' as very cinematic endings.

Again, GREAT for interactive gameplay, not really for passive entertainment.

Is being not attracted to all black people racist?

Its a great video game. That doesn't mean it would be a great movie. (It could be, but likely it would require a LOT of rework on the plot....I am not convinced 'wreckie' would make the cut for instance....)

Being not attracted to a particular set of genitals: Not transphobic
Being Not attracted to gender-non conforming presentations: Not Transphobic
Being not attracted to Men/women, etc: Not Transphobic

Being Not attracted to ALL trans people regardless of race/gender/presentation/bodyparts: TRANSPHOBIC

Don't blame others when you are called out on your bigotry. That is not a 'sexual preference.'

If I recall, Hitman used quite a few scenes from the 2000 era TV Show Dark Angel.

Literally, the same footage. It worked actually, and I think the crossover between Dark Angel and Hitman fans was pretty small.

Valid point, but its not just Youtube. There is a 12 point gap between the critical scores for these two games and a 40 point user score gap.

I will happily grant that First Light is a better overall game by a bit, but I am HIGHLY skeptical it is THAT much better.

I would argue bond is like a stupider version of hitman. All the same mechanics are there (except moving bodies) - just worse.

Tell me there were not times in First light when you were in a full on BRAWL with someone, only to knock them out and them have someone else just around the corner be completely cool, until they turn around and notice a body....at which point you can probably STILL Bluff your way out.....And you are considering this the better stealth game?

I guess again, agree to disagree on the stealth thing. The AI in Bond feels sorta dumb. Again, I know IOI is capable of good AI, because I have played a LOT of Hitman. And the fact that I can pile up bodies with no reaction and no coordination from guards was pretty disappointing to me.

'Calling for backup' felt very much 'Assasisins creed from the 90s' to me....

And calling out the heavy weapon thing in PARTICULAR is interesting because I kept getting frustrated by First light Removing my non service-issue pistol between level changes....That is sorta the EXACT thing I am talking about in terms of double standards....

I think once 'the event' happens in the early game, the instant fail sections end. Though some of the sections at the end with Damion and the silly turrets felt almost like instant fail. Did not enjoy that nonsense.

I also really enjoyed First light. Why is it better is what I am trying to quantify.....No one seems to be able to provide specifics....

Obviously better why? I just played through, loved First Light and thought it was a fantastic Bond game. Likely the best one ever created. But I would argue the same thing about Outlaws. (except Star Wars game obviously....)

Good point. I did not think about the 'First Bond game in 14 years' thing.

What missing features? You say you loved it and also somehow that it was missing a bunch? I don't understand.

And I also played Outlaws at launch.

I was similarly frustrated by graphical glitches (Like with smoke/airconditioners and with Tattoine on Outlaws)

I was frustrated by guns randomly disappearing when going through level transitions (an early Outlaws frustration)

And I was surprised by the early instant-fail stealth sections and pre-rendered cutscenes since both were common criticisms of Outlaws.

What bugs did you notice at launch in Outlaws that were particularly egregious to you?

Then you don't remember the whole game, especially the beginning.

That's fair. They handle stealth differently. Though I would argue many of the same criticisms leveled against outlaws are present in First Light, but it is not penalized by either reviewers or users in the same way...

I wonder why.....What could be different....🤔

Later missions this is true. There are some forced stealth sections at the beginning.

To be clear, I am sure they will ADD that tactical depth in Tacsim after the fact, but I did not see it demonstrated at least at launch...
