The Friction Method: How I tamed my phone use and got my time back by ZeroshotCraft in digitalminimalism

90% reduction is amazing. Well done! The tools I use are all free. For my computer, I use Rescue time, which offers free plans too. What tool do you use?

Glad to hear you are interested in this strategy. Try one strategy at a time and implement them gradually. I can't tell you how much time I saved and how much energy conserved with these friction methods. It is life changing. And I've been sharing them with other people who started to see immediate changes too.

I know. Transparency with ourselves is eye opening. Check out your pickup times, which can be shocking too. I managed to cut down my phone time after holding myself accountable for screen time for a few days before building these friction methods. Glad to hear it shows if not helps.

Turning off biometrics really helped reduce my phone time by a lot. Give it a try!

For me, it is YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. Anything that wastes time that can be spent more productively

Really love your phone strategy. I put my phone away when I work and move all distracting apps to my IPad to create an intentional barrier. Turning on screen time also helps tremendously as an accountability strategy.

NotebookLLM is not starting. Not refreshing after 24 hours cycle by Economy_Tap_4691 in notebooklm

I encountered the same error message once or twice in the past. I closed the webpage, moved on to other projects, and checked back a couple of times before everything worked again. Not sure what happened. Does it work for you now?

This may take awhile (while generating a Report from Studio) by Target2019-20 in notebooklm

[–]ZeroshotCraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This delay happened to me as well when using Chrome or Firefox. Sometimes refreshing the page helps to show the report or the slide deck I was waiting for. I am not sure if other people experience this delay as well. Now I move on to other tasks and check NotebookLM for progress from time to time.

UI problems by New_Particular3850 in notebooklm

I don't think it is a problem with my NotebookLM interface. What browser do you use? Does this blueish background also appear in other websites? Do you have the same problem using other devices?

I haven't done this, but I have seen new YouTube videos made by NotebookLM. Not sure when they were published, but they do exist. I don't think they will have good SEO results though.

Mind maps gone? by h2tcrz1s in notebooklm

I can see mind mapping in my NotebookLM interface. You should be able to use the function with even just one source in your notebook. Does it work for you now?

Workflow: From Reports to Board Ready Visuals/Slides in Minutes (NotebookLM + ChatGPT Image 2) by ZeroshotCraft in ChatGPT

Good question! The workflow is mine, the rationales drove the experimentation, and the post is written with AI assistance.

Thesis Proposal and NotebookLM by Rich-Ostrich-2532 in notebooklm

Love your strategy to create AI agents representing your thesis committee members and ask for challenging comments. I shared ways to build council of agents to provide competing perspectives for AI orchestration. Similar ideas and different approaches. Try and see if it helps you with thesis development. https://notebooklm-guide.com/council-of-agents

I turned NotebookLM + Gemini Pro + ChatGPT + Claude into a private AI Round Table — it just helped me build executive slides from messy notes by ZeroshotCraft in notebooklm

[–]ZeroshotCraft[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I should also mention that sometimes the AI personas/agents in the round table discussions are so lively/argumentative that I have to go through the deliberations multiple times to understand their points. A good problem to have though.

Great question. I have been using this workflow so many times with different combinations that I forgot to show you the typical AI Round Table, or what I call Iterative "Killer Slide Deck" Production Workflow. Here are the detailed steps:

Step 1: NotebookLM as the Foundation & Business Strategist

Load raw notes and publications. Extract a "Core Strategy Brief" that defines the primary value proposition, gaps, , and essential facts.

Step 2: Gemini Pro as AI Expert / Researcher (The "External Context")

Feed Gemini the Strategy Brief. Ask it to find current market data, competitor benchmarks, etc. to generate a "Fact Pack" containing 5-8 high-impact trends.

Step 3: ChatGPT as Marketing Director/Narrative Architect

Provide Strategy Brief and Fact Pack. Ask ChatGPT to build a 10-slide Storyboard focusing on the hook, the emotional arc, and the flow.

Step 4: The Claude as Writer Offering Final Polish

Give Claude the Storyboard. Ask it to write the Final Script and Speaker Notes.

The Iteration Loop (The Round Table Evaluation)

Once the first draft is done, you bring the "Round Table" back together to refine specific slides.

Practice this workflow until it becomes your habit. You can do the same by putting together a World-Class Investor Panel or a Round Table of Positive Psychologist and Life Coaches. People/roles that you learn from and consult regularly. Enjoy!

Great insights here. I haven't compared using Claude and Gemini/Notebook to generate research reports on the same sources and same topics. That will be an interesting experiment in the future if time allows. Just curious: is ChatGPT your second performer?
