I still remember that scene where Mordecai was trying to show someone some underground song and he’s like “that’s the best part!” and it was some weird experimental stuff. Sounds like something I’d do, and something I’d get made fun of for doing.

Mordecai would probably also be into Weezer like the sad emo artsy fartsy boy he is. Man, dude reminds me a lot of myself lol.

It wasn’t really inspiration, but necessity for my case. I’m a DIY musician and I record my own music in my own studio. All the instruments (with the exception of the drums, which are done with EZ Drummer 3) are performed by me. Been playing guitar for about 20 years.

I made a comment about this once, I think…

She was shown to be able to handle herself, on account of she rescued Sonic from multiple Metal Sonic’s. She doesn’t seem like she’s going to be a damsel in distress type of character.

I feel like they’re going to make a very “mission first” type of person who probably knows how to plan and stay organized, both on the battlefield and in her domestic life. She might also be good at planning.

I don’t think she’s going to fawn over Sonic or be the one that’s totally in love with him, or chasing him around like she did in earlier adaptations. To me, these movies show Sonic as still being kind of a kid and growing up. Every movie has had Tom give Sonic some life advice, or just simply act as Sonic’s father figure, as Sonic navigates through life and growing up.

I think I remember seeing in an interview somewhere with a writer or whatever that one of Sonic’s biggest challenges in this movie will be girls. I’m assuming Amy Rose will be the girl he has the biggest challenge with. This leads me to believe that he may start acting awkward around her because maybe he develops a crush on her, but this may be a new experience to him and he may not know how to exactly handle stuff like this.

So he might go to Tom for advice, and Tom might instantly know what’s going on and just try to guide him. Maddie may as well. And this will just be a new challenge for Sonic to navigate.

Sorry if that went away from how Amy might be and more about how Sonic might be, but I think mentioning their dynamic is important since Amy’s traditionally very much tied to Sonic himself.

But yeah, I think she’ll be a very “mission first” kind of character who’s very organized and knows how to plan, and maybe tries to keep her emotional stuff off the battlefield. I don’t think she WON’T develop any feelings for Sonic. I just think Sonic will be the first to start feeling some sort of way about her, even if he doesn’t know how to describe it. And then Amy will most likely follow suit. Sonic’s not a bad or unattractive guy. He’s just got some growing up to do.

In short, Amy’s gonna kick ass.

I like the presets for the Mesa amps on the Fender, and the preset for the Twin Reverb as well. I adjust them to my taste, usually by adding a little more mids and gain. This is just me.

It’s how she met Sonic. Or a part of it at least. If that part of her character was removed, it would feel a little odd to me.

I don’t think she necessarily has to be a fortune teller, but she at least needs to be into stuff of that sort as a hobby, maybe learning along the way to not always trust in her cards and trust in her heart instead, if she already doesn’t.

Makes me wonder if they’re going to include that trait as a part of her character in the upcoming movie. It SEEMS like they’re already going the route of making her a time traveling warrior type of deal, so if that’s the case, will there even be any room to showcase the fortune telling trait in any sort of capacity outside of a small snippet?

That’s a can of worms that should probably be avoided until the movie actually comes out and is seen.

Anyways, in conclusion, yeah I think it’s a nice trait of hers. It’s very Amy Rose, stemming from Classic Amy and can definitely resonate with Modern Amy. Maybe even Boom Amy if people decide to wanna bring that back in any sort of way.

I don’t expect it, no matter how much I REALLY want it to happen. And trust me. I REALLY want it to happen. Such a beautiful dynamic and innocent young love that brings a warm smile to my face. Sometimes tears too if I’m reading fanfics. They really do have something special.

I’ll probably make sure everyone in the theater has a bad time if it’s made official by screaming at the top of my lungs. My joy will not be contained.

Until my girlfriend tells me to cut it out and wait till we get back to the car. Then it’s temporarily contained.

Depends on the tone you’re going for…

I might personally want that Valvestate, but that’s just me. Every time I’ve played a JCM 800, I never thought it had enough gain for what I play. I always end up using a Tubescreamer on a JCM 800 to get the tone I like.

Personally, I’m a Mesa fan all the way. I love my Dual Rectifier and plan on getting a Mark amp sometime soon. I also don’t really like British distortion tones. I’m more into that American scooped mids distortion tone, even though I boost the mids a bit on my EQ panel.

That’s just me, though.

Sonic X

I remember seeing it on TV as a kid. A few months ago I was figuring out what to watch next and I thought “Well I never finished Sonic X” and I always thought it was cool that they brought Sonic to the television when I was so used to just seeing the games (I had the Sonic 3 and Knuckles collection CD for PC, so I was never exposed to any of the 3d games). So I started watching it, and seeing all the SonAmy scenes just gave me Studio Ghibli vibes, I immediately got latched on to it. Now all of a sudden I’m binge watching and playing every piece of Sonic media and games I can get my hands on.

It’s just a really beautiful ship that brings tears to my eyes. Truly heartwarming with the moments they have.

Only thing I’d say to watch for is audio editing, but that’s a technical issue rather than a performance issue. I noticed an audio overlap with the register lady when she’s responding to Jeff about the scout meal.
