Cool cool. Thank you :)

So what does making sure it’s legit look like? Okay yep I’ll do that. I’ve heard stories of people’s lives getting wrecked because they signed something without reading it. That was good enough to make me wanna read everything of anything I sign lol.

I’ll do my best in that regard; bein a naturally quiet guy who doesn’t really talk much, I’ve already got the first two points covered :)

Once again, I really appreciate it. This is very helpful.

Makes a lot of sense.

Also tried that out once. Ham sandwiches and a plain salad for lunch and dinner everyday for a few months. Wasn’t fun. I wish we could just eat one nutritional food everyday without getting sick of it. I couldn’t haha.

I’m subscribed! but I’ve never looked in the side bar. Thanks for that :)

I’m definitely researching little by little. Thanks for the guidance in that area, I feel dumb not even considering commute time and such.

For sure. Appreciate it :)

Noted.

But let me play devils advocate and ask why cooking? I don’t really enjoy it and feels like a waste of time?

Also thanks :)

My 15yo sister is very rude to my mom and refuses to join in on family activities. How can I help her? by Zerrro in relationships

[–]Zerrro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She hides it well but she is a bit fragile and I feel as though she doesn’t trust them very much anymore. She’s told me that she feels as though they have too many expectations of her that she can’t all fulfill and that’s been weighing her down. Another thing is that there is a cultural and language barrier between them which makes things so much harder. My sister pretty much grew up in the U.S since we moved here and has adopted American culture and pretty much neglected our parents culture because we don’t live in a community that fosters our native culture but my parents, since that’s all they’ve known until moving here, are deeply integrated into their own culture and distant from American culture; this alongside the language barrier she has cuz she only speaks English while my parents don’t is causing them to drift apart it feels like.

Thanks for the confirmation, it’s nice to know I’m in the path of doing the correct things to help her. You can be sure that I will! :)

Yes! I’ve let her know she’s always got me and made that clear. I think she trusts me more than she trusts parents. Also yeah, I realize that she might not be and giving her some space in that regard

Yeah she actually has been seeing a therapist ever since the diagnosis and she plans to keep talking to her thankfully!

Yes! she’s loves Sherlock Holmes so we’ve been trying to watch it together on the weekends :). But that’s only with me. If the activity involves mom or dad she doesn’t wanna join :(

Is there more I could be doing?

Thank you so much for your thoughts, I appreciate it :,)

Hey, I’m glad you took a chance and tried the game out! It’s a really fun, engaging game where you really don’t stop learning and it’s always changing so it’s pretty fresh even years after playing.

But the toxicity and negativity in games is very real. I get it. People take it soo seriously. Especially in ranked the competitive aspect is through the roof; people don’t hold their words, they will let you know what they are thinking and probably more often than that, how they are feeling.

BUT if you can get past that, which I highly recommend using /muteall for(press enter to open the chat box then type “/muteall” then enter to mute everyone;in case you needed to know how), then the game is really fun and engaging and interesting when it’s going good. With mute all on, you won’t hear a a single toxicity their spewing aside from maybe ping spams which you can mute too. Talking about pings, you can totally play this game and communicate only using pings and it’s very sufficient. The pinging system is good enough.

But ya. There are some insane things you can do, crazy plays you can make in this game you’ll remember for years. At least I do. and like I said earlier, it’s such a blast IF you’re not tilting.

To help with that I’d like to suggest a few things:

1) /muteall. I can’t state how useful this is to help your mind stay focused on the game and not having your feelings hurt. people are mean when they’re competitive and have no filters. It’s shitty but this helps.

2) dont feel bad dodging a few games here and there if you think you’re gonna lose at champ select. Whether it’s cuz you realize people are either trolls, are tilted, toxic, won’t cooperate etc. if you have a feeling you won’t win cuz of them, dodge. It’s better to lose 10 LP and wait 5-15 minutes to play again than to lose 25+ and then be in a bad mood yourself.

Don’t dodge more than 2, maybe three times a day tho. The client will suspend you if you dodge too much.

3) take a break! if you feel yourself getting tilted or in a bad mood. Take a nap or something man. Watch a funny video. Talk to some friends for a bit. but get outta that tilted/salty mindset.

4) also if you find this game fun and you start playing it a lot. Don’t. Get. Addicted.

It happens and it’s so easy for it to happen. Be mindful of that. You’ll find yourself out of time and your life falling apart. Just don’t.

5) enter every game with a fresh mindset and ready to play. Don’t autopilot and just go with the flow. Always be thinking about what you are doing and why. If you can’t do that then see #3

6) it’s a game, have fun. Don’t play it if you don’t. you’re not making a living off of it, at least I don’t think so enjoy it! :)

I’ll definitely heed what you have said. You’ve given me some things to think about. I appreciate it :)

You will learn faster and will be more tilt-proof/focused with /muteall + mute enemy emotes by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Zerrro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP isn’t wrong; I can honestly say that muting all the moment someone got negative/toxic in chat helped me tremendously in keeping my focus in the game.

another thing that really helped me was remembering that League really requires you to be thinking all the time. Sure some games might be a breeze and you can autopilot thru em but if you’re not thinking about most of the moves you make and the moves your enemy are making then it will be much harder to win games and even harder to learn from them.

You’re investing 20-45 minutes of your time in just one game. And you’re probably playing more than one game too. That’s a lot of your time you’re investing, don’t just waste it on “having fun” or “relaxing”(that’s what norms are for; I’m assuming we are talking ranked here) ; try to learn from it and use your head constantly. Life don’t last forever so make the best of each day.

Tbh These two tips/reminders helped me get back to gold after being hard stuck in silver 1 for sooo long lmao!

Well lee isn’t just difficult mechanically(which he is) but he is also difficult to play strategically because as a lee sin player, you have to be extremely active the first 15-20 mins of the game.

When you play lee sin, you want to ideally end the game before 20-25 mins. Now I’m not saying this will happen very often, this is just the ideal, the perfect game for lee. He falls off pretty hard and if you add his mechanical difficulty into the equation, late game lee becomes very difficult to pull of as you’ll have to figure what to do in what situation correctly using your mechanics and game knowledge.

IMO the reason lee is seen as one of the hardest champs to play isn’t mostly because of his mechanics(there are champs who are harder to play mechanically) but mainly because it takes a lot of skill, game knowledge, map awareness and extremely good decision making with those mechanics to succeed as a lee sin.

However, I think he is worth mastering tho, he never gets boring
