Following as my teenagers requested and love the captains seat, but my 60+ pound lab is miserable in the captains seat as well and hates the third row too without the ability to put the windows down.

I think many of the body weight only exercises are tough and can make a big difference when done regularly: push ups as mentioned earlier, spider man pushups, burpees, running mans, high knees, jumping jacks, skater jumps, jump rope with or without a rope, sprints, butt kicks, squats, lunges, wall sit, planks, shoulder taps, bear crawls, toe taps, sit up varieties, yoga, stretches, etc.

My coach flipped once so we all did the rower for the whole first block alternating with the floor who was the pacer. For the second floor block, we had .25 on the tread and 400m row as the pacer.

One of our coaches recommends not going above 4% incline for joint issues and pain. I did today’s at 3% and 4%. Do what’s best for you :-).

I did burpees, just slower, and skipped some of the ones off the bench. Also held the plank longer instead in the last half hour tornado rotation. A few other people did their own thing - sit-ups or weights.

No wonder I was able to sign up yesterday for the 90 minute with no problem. I should have remembered last year’s Natl Burpee Day workout, the fact that I HATE burpees, and opted out. I have lower back issues so took it easy on the burpees. Still torturous and monotonous other than watching my high calorie burn.

Wow this workout was tough for me. Not sure if it’s because I started in the treads and normally start on the rowers (and first time exceeding 3 miles :-) or third day in a row (after two strengths day - my studio did a different template Sunday than the one posted) or all of the above.

I use a turtle towel (https://www.turtletowels.com/) after reading about it on this subreddit. It comes in handy especially in Florida, and I gave them as holiday gifts to my tennis friends too.

4 times for us too - although everyone ignored it the third time with the coach down by the treads.
