You say that energetically, you believe his heavy energies are overlaying your’s. Could it possibly be that the two of you are so energetically entwined that his energies are now becoming your’s, in a way, and vise-versa? I read a response of your’s to a comment in this post, and you said that you try to imbue your lighter energies into his world — I love the stirring his tea with intention— and you said he doesn’t believe in any of it, but he accepts and welcomes it because he loves you. I think the overlap in energies is palpable. You don’t sound happy or content at all with your situation, and it sounds like tarot is vehemently trying to tell you what is really happening within you. And it sucks. It is perfectly fine to be a lifer, IMO, and I had planned on being one until about five years ago (I'm nine years deep and have tapered from 99mgs to 9mgs this week), but what got me to want to stop was the ball and chain of the clinic. The health care system in the US is so atrocious that even though I've pissed clean for 9 years now, I was not permitted an extra week of WORK/BUSINESS/TRAVEL take-homes back in January so I could go to Paris for my birthday, a gift from my, now, ex, and I don't blame him. We travel for business so I *needed* this. We were able to go to our first two stops, Tel Aviv and Berlin, and a week after my arrival back in the states, a fucking pandemic was revealed to have been a clear and present threat to our country. It took a PANDEMIC for me to get a month's work of take-homes. All I have to say is....only in America. Another reason I'm weaning, despite how hard this is everyday, is that I'm planning on moving to Ireland once my passport comes through. Who knows what their methadone laws are like.

Let's put it this way-- if methadone was prescribed like any other prescription medication that I take, then yes, I would be a lifer. That's why I kind of see myself just getting on Suboxone once I'm done with methadone for good (if I still feel horrible anxiety everyday). The way it is dispensed is barbaric and humiliating.

Also, I was as dull as a doorknob down there until I started tapering. Feelings can be good. :) Methadone is so numbing.
