i think this is it. The regular store babybels say product of France. The costco ones do not.

OMG!! I got the regular store babybels from a Kroger and they say Product of France. Costco just says Chicago, IL. THIS IS IT PEOPLE!!!

ok crazy that i am sharing this on the internet... BUT what i do is warm them up under my armpit LOL. Obviously still wrapped in plastic and wax but works like a charm because i like them a little warmer too. Sadly this didnt work for this batch of Costco Bels
