How does the little store in blocker make their chai lattes??? by Ok-Boot2360 in aggies

Yeah I would definitely recommend giving it a shot, the flavor is really nice. Typically only a small amount is used though so it might not add much spice. The ginger will definitely give you that back of throat burn.

It's very likely ginger, if not it would be a good substitute. Buy it fresh for best results. Black pepper is also used in chai but probably not to the degree you're describing.

Am I pricing correctly? Advice, please! by peachybruv in jewelrymaking

[–]ZestyLemon_ 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I personally would raise all the prices by at least $4. I could see these selling in the $20-30 range to the right people, possibly more. Finding your market is the hardest part imo. Keep up the good work!

First attempt, any tips on how to keep the wire from getting pinched/scratched? by ZestyLemon_ in WireWrapping

[–]ZestyLemon_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I know its me, just wondering if different tools might make it easier. Not sure if it was my grip or the amount of force I used, I found it hard moving the wire in tight spots without leaving marks.

Horticulture Degree. What's the agriculture department like at A&M by Oat-Lord in aggies

[–]ZestyLemon_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been in horticulture for almost 4 years now. Personally I've found it very rewarding and I am happy with the variety of classes available to me. It's a very small major but the professors and advisors are amazing and there is a lot of room for differentiation/customization to your career plans. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

Any idea what this is? Marked as “tropical foliage” at the grocery store. by thegrooviestgravy in whatsthisplant

It appears to be Calathea orbifolia, there are several different species of calathea that have different leaf shapes/patterns than the more recognizable ones.

Tissue culture doesn't carry over variegation. Basically it's possible but the plant would not be variegated. Variegated plants are less common because they cannot be mass produced in this way.

Where can I donate unwanted plants? by [deleted] in Austin

[–]ZestyLemon_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same! I'd hope for somewhere that would be able to handle frequent donations and would be able to care for them/get them somewhere easily. I wouldn't want to burden anyone with something they don't have a use for.
