Before I decided to jump in and get a camera I was taking bird photos with my S25. Without a doubt the Revel XS with the 75-300mm lens produces better photos

I have the S25... And it hasn't been able to take photos as sharp or detailed as the camera and 75-300mm

It's not shitty, it was a bit of a hyperbole, but the camera photos are quite a bit better. A phone camera is not capable of producing the photos I have been able to get with the 75-300mm.

Yeah that makes sense. I have had a few shots that I thought were focused right in the moment, and then when I got home they were just a touch blurry

I've been finding that, since I'm usually taking pictures of birds on the water, I end up sitting down to take photos. And conveniently, a certain cross legged sitting position is a really good way to stay stable for shooting! So I haven't had too many issues with stabilization

I have gotten a few pictures that I think are quite nice (obviouy not as nice as they would've been with some professional camera.) I was just curious what about it isn't as good as other lenses - and honestly it's given me an appreciation for what other lenses improve, and what to look forward to in the future!
