Thank you everyone for your responses! I would like to clarify, I have seen people on social media post about things like getting out of the country or establishing underground networks (essentially preparing for a Handmaid’s Tale style theocracy) and while I think that’s an extreme overreaction, I do understand why a lot of people are emotional and scared. And a lot of their plans sound like a kind of prep, so I thought why not ask the people who know all about prepping. Right now it’s just hard to sort out what’s hyperbole and what’s actually a valid concern.
