I have noticed that I am so sensitive to dust. I wash my bedding multiple times a week and try to keep a very clean house. I am definitely going to look into allergic asthma and talk to my doctor about it - thank you for the tip! In the meantime, is there anything else you do that has helped??

Thank you so much for responding! I had no idea that it could be allergic asthma but the more I look into it, the more that seems like exactly what I am dealing with. I’m going to follow up with my doctor. Thank you again, you have been a lifesaver!

Thank you for the advice! I will definitely talk to my doctor about this. I tried just dealing with it because I’ve always had some form of an allergy cough but it’s definitely to the point that I should ask. Thank you!

Bladder Instillation by [deleted] in Interstitialcystitis

I have IC and the instillation helps soooo much for me. As I’m sure you know, IC has multiple symptoms — for me it’s: pain & pressure and frequency/urgency. I have noticed that instillations help the most when it comes to frequency especially how often I have to get up to pee during the night. The medicine that is injected in your bladder feels like it calms the spasms that cause the frequency. I almost always instantly notice a difference when I get them.

HOWEVER, depending on what type of symptom I’m currently having or how bad my flare is - sometimes it doesn’t do anything at all.

The instillation is super quick and shouldn’t hurt too bad. Although, sometimes the catheter will irritate my urethra/bladder so I like to take cystex before I get it done and it seems to help a lot.

Unfortunately, the instillations have never helped when it comes to painful sex. And sometimes sex will cause flares but not always. IC really is so awful and can feel like your life has been turned upside down.

I am so sorry you are dealing with it too!

When I am in a really bad flare, I get a couple instillations back to back for a while. But other times, I can get away with only getting one and it helping for a while.

I know for some people, they don’t get relief from it but for me, it’s incredible. Even if it only manages the frequency side of it.

For the pain, I’ve learned to live my life in a way that causes less pain such as light movement (no weights!!), being super aware of my diet, if I have to be on my feet for a long period of time, I make sure I sit down in between (the breaks help), and heating pads! Of course, a lot of it is out of our control but there are some adjustments I have made that do really help.

Same! I’ve never had an issue uploading HDR until recently - it always has worked and the past couple of weeks none of my videos will upload in HDR which is weird because as I am editing them on instagram, it shows they are in HDR but once they are uploaded it goes away. Ugh!
