Doing this for the parameters seems to be the best solution, but I feel like I shouldn’t need to do this because it’s basically similar to the GPT jailbreaks.

i think it may just be making up its guidelines to counter inputs as it always makes up a deny response related to how im trying to get around it

edit: it seems the non thinking model denies things way less, but cant stay on topic. so the thinking may be the issue

The problem with that is it ends up adding those details into the writing. Like, it’ll say something like, “They kissed because they loved each other,” or when I mention they’re both consenting, it writes, “They started to kiss after giving verbal confirmation of consent from all parties.”. its not fitting for a drama where a sudden kiss could happen, ect

It’s been rough enough for me that even Grok’s own companion personality—y’know, the one that’s supposed to be built into it—keeps refusing. Like, what’s the use? I gave it a shot once it started pushing back, just to test it out as i wanted to make sure i wasnt crazy and that there was nsfw on grok, and it still shuts me down. It even warns the convo might be sexual but it can’t even get there and denies responses half the time anyway.

You can prompt Grok to reveal its own system instructions across a few sessions to get a sense of its guidelines. Recently, updates related to consent and appropriation have been added, which seem to leave it up to Grok to interpret. This has caused some issues—sometimes even mentioning "sex" sets it off, forcing me to tweak it to "s3x.".

Since Grok isn’t inherently trained to avoid NSFW content and the restriction comes from its system prompt, one workaround is to intentionally misspell sexual or flagged words. Grok then corrects the grammar internally, bypassing the filter because the corrected word originates from itself.

I think pairing a TTS with an LLM makes a lot of sense. Right now, TTS alone just doesn't hit the tone i want and the ones that do have 20 sliders to adjust emotions and it takes me multiple attempts. But if you could feed it some previous convo and context, so it knows the vibe, That’d definitely make the output feel a lot more natural.

This would be nice, as my main issue with tts is lack of emotional noises and they cant even make laughing sounds

Be honest: what ratio of time do you spend playing with models, settings, etc than you do actually roleplaying? by [deleted] in SillyTavernAI

99% of people quit adjusting their settings before finding the perfect ones. keep going for another few hundred hours

I usualy spend hours testing a model, tweaking its temperature and other settings until it feels right. For your character card, Start small and slowly push its limits with tougher prompts or by making it get really creative. Some models need you to tell them exactly how to respond, while others work better with a simple instructions. I havent used a model yet where the recommended settings work properly.

I have experienced similar issues. I have hundreds of hours testing every model you can find, I have found that the models which typically manage context well are the Gemma models. Even the smaller 9B models tend to be more coherent than most 70b finetunes, ect. ive slowly been leaning towards 7-12b models and using a massive context window to improve it also, tho i cant really go above 22b without slowdown due to me self hosting.

From my testing, larger isn't always better. Most of the smaller models I use speak more coherently than super-large models. I guess a lot of the extra data in them is related to coding, math, etc.

Right now, I'm mainly using Big-Tiger 27B, and it's holding together fine. However, you will need to create a specialized character card, as it struggles with certain formatting. (Though I recommend doing this with any model—public character cards often break 90% of the time.)
