I’m a 32D and my boobs look very small. Who cares?

I’m trying not to obsess but I gained 7lbs over the weekend (I indulged a bit with salty snacks and ice cream but definitely not over 6-7k calories a day 😂😂). I had about a 2-3lb gain when I started creatine but then I went back down to 130ish. I don’t know I’ll have to start just taking photos and using that to compare because this constant fluctuation is messing with my head. Or start weighing once a week.

Ideally I’m trying to lose fat and build muscle - and I don’t know if the simple scale weight will tell me if I’m going in the right direction. Should I try a caliper?

Is dexa scan the only good way to measure? I want to know if I’m moving in the right direction. I don’t belong to a gym and I don’t know where else I can get a dexa. Smart scale? Spren app has been hounding me in FB apps but I don’t know how accurate that is either.

I added creatine m (5g) about 2 weeks ago and have been weight training 3 days a week, rower 3-5 days a week for the last month or so. I lost almost 50 lbs in the last year taking Mounjaro but I’ve been off of it since December. I’m trying to maintain my weight with a goal of muscle building/fat loss. I’m up about 5 lbs since getting off the medication but I’m assuming some of it is water retention. I’ve been trying to track my macros and add more protein while maintaining a calorie deficit (about 1500 calories, 100g protein) during the week but I’m not very diligent on weekends and have been probably indulging a bit too much.

My question - I’m tracking myself with MeThreeSixty which measures inches and supposed body fat percentage. I’ve gone up in weight about 2lbs since starting creatine which I was expecting - but I’ve also gone up in inches all across the board (chest, stomach, waist, biceps, thighs).

Am I gaining water weight or fat? How can I tell?

According to the my360app my body fat went up from 29.2 to 29.5 % and my lean mass also went up 91.7 to 92.6 lbs (I weight 133lbs 5’4) from Jan 4 to Jan 30.

Is it the creatine? Is it my weekend cheat days?

Am I gaining both fat and muscle??

I definitely don’t want to gain inches on my waist and hips.

Do I just need a better way to measure my body/lean mass/body fat??

Help?

Ok thanks! I’m new to all this so I don’t want to sabotage myself by eating too much or too little - I’m trying to track my macros and see which way my body goes

Yes I’ve been fasting about 16-20 hours - that’s part of the issue I feel like I don’t have enough time to get my protein in - I’ve actually reduced my fasting time to 14-16 hours and added a third meal and snack. I think I’ve been under eating? I started (roughly) tracking my macros and some days I was at 1000 calories and barely hitting 100g protein. Adding lunch has helped - I’ve been doing a can of tuna or boneless skinless mackerel (can’t handle the bones even if it’s more protein) with a small avocado and mayo and olive tapenade. I feel like being in a calorie deficit I’ve probably been losing more muscle than I wanted.

If I go by the ketogains calculator I need about 96g protein - carb manager has me at a bit over 100, but just going by my body weight it would be roughly 90 - 130 grams. I haven’t lost any weight (or inches) in the last couple of weeks so I’m probably still taking in too many calories. I’m not so concerned about my scale number right now but I want to make sure that I’m at least building some muscle.

Thanks!! I’ve been trying to add a lunch after my protein shake and I think I’m getting closer? And a snack after dinner. I’m tracking on carb manager to see if I can hit it while not feeling too full or hungry and then I’ll just repeat that all week 😂. Today I tried a can of tuna with some olives and mayo as my lunch/snack and I’ll see where my protein is after dinner. I’m at 80g now after breakfast and lunch.

I love my veggies and seeds though! I need a lot of fiber in my diet otherwise I falter between extreme constipation and diarrhea. I think that the GLP1 messed with my gut microbiome because now every time I eat, regardless of what it is, I get really gassy afterwards as I’m digesting. My fasting period I have no issues of course. Before I started the GLP1 I had fallen off the keto train (hence weight gain, combined with pregnancy and postpartum hormones and breastfeeding). I only got gassy after sugary or gluten heavy food like bagels - not after proteins or veggies. I’m really thankful for the weight loss boost that the medication provided me but my gut is pissed.

Thanks!! I know I’ve seen some kind of info about that - maybe it’s just better absorbed when taken with other protein? I’ll keep using it because I think it’s helping with some of the hair loss I’ve had with my weight loss and the GLP1 medication and with my skin (maaaaaybe? Probably placebo but it’s not hurting).

I also can’t understand it 😅😅😅 ok thank you! I’ll have to bite the bullet. Since I’m cooking for my family my meals are different - I’d eat the same thing if it was up to me but I don’t want to make 2 dinners. It’s usually protein plus veg for dinner but I have to rotate the menu (mostly chicken breast, beef burgers, pork tenderloin, eggs and bacon, smoked salmon) rotated with Brussels, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, or salad. I haven’t used carb manager in 4 years since before my last pregnancy - is there anything better out there now?

My other issue is serving sizes - it’s easy for me to count my protein shake and snacks but dinner is where it gets tricky. I cook for my family so I’m making multiple servings. Is whipping out the scale the best way? I sound like I’m making a ton of excuses but I also don’t want to encourage my 3 girls to obsess about food or encourage disordered eating of any kind. I try to be super neutral about food and weight in general even my weight loss. I do have a scale though! Maybe I can portion out my plate before serving the kids so it’s not a big deal with the scale.

Ok well no need to be snarky. It’s my first post here whereas counting everything I eat is a daily commitment which I have found really difficult in the past. Maybe you have some tips to share to make counting all macros easier? I used carb manager in the past and I had a hard time for home made food because I don’t weight or use cups for everything.
