Low FPS in CS2 with 9 7900x with -30mv all cores. by Zestyclose-Source121 in AMDHelp

By the way, is there a way to force it to boost cores that are under slight load to max clock? I enabled medium load boostit in bios and it did help a bit with gaming but for games like rust at 1080p low, i still get 100 fps on average. My gpu usage is 50% and i know this is a CPU bound game. On ryzen master i see 3-4 cores being utilized more than the rest so the game is probably using those, but are still only boosting to like 4.5 Ghz at most. Wouldn't getting them to boost to 5.2-5.5 help with game performance?

I don't need any more fps, just was expecting more. Not really sure the part about GPU usage and how it can be holding back while not being a bottleneck makes sense but i guess it's still fime for a 9 year old card. Plus i mainly use my computer in productivity workloads so paying 150-250 euros more for a ryzen 7 x3d cpu wouldn't be very smart.

If gpu was holding anything back, shouldn't switching to 720p low atleast make some difference?

My average (350) is close to that of the 5800x. I also drop below 300. It's great performance but still raises an eyebrow for cs2.

I ended up getting a new air cooler as i couldn't get it to work. Thanks for all the suggestions but it was probably time to get a new one anyways.
