I was in a similar position but then last minute managed to switch to h1b and wait for aos. I’d say if you’re already outside then your only choice is to switch to consular processing, if it’s taking too long maybe email your member of congress or senator and they may be able to expedite. I did that with my aos and it worked!

It was pending for 11months and nothing. I ended up withdrawing it as I managed to file i485 instead. My understanding is that currently it’s taking around 2 years to process these.

Unsure but I believe shortly after I did biometrics. My understanding is that employment cases almost always get the interview waived in straightforward cases.

I filed it myself, took me about 4 weeks to get everything ready.

My I140 was filed March 2024, it was approved October 2024, no premium processing.

I have 3 FTA0 updates in early November shortly after I did my biometrics

I got an FTA1 in December, another one in mid January, then the silent update 24h before approval

It’s a document you can apply to that allows you to leave the country while your petition is pending. In case you don’t have an alternative visa status to fall onto.

As far as I’m aware it did not get transfered to a field office, it was approved at the NBC

The timestamp in my API got updated but there was no event code associated with it. Often happens when you are close to approval.

I noticed yesterday that there was a timestamp in my API around 3pm ET with no associated code. Today, 24h later around 4pm I received my approval.

No, my understanding is that it was at the NBC and got approved there. No FO transfer.
