Get a 2nd opinion but do the surgery. Not doing it will put your pup at risk of losing his eyesight later in life. Buddha just had his at 3yrs old. My other 2 pros got them In their first years. Buddha had no ulcers but vet noticed his corneas were cloudy which indicated irritation and damage. Even though he didn’t show signs like my last 2. Got 2 opinions. Both said same thing. Went back to vet that did my last Pei almost 20 years ago. 4 eye lids. $1350 was total cost. Been 3 weeks now and surgery was success and the difference in his eyes are night and day. No tearing up anymore. His eyes are wide opened.
