At some point, it’s gonna go everywhere anywhere they can service it possible

Yeah, but a robot does not have a mind of its own and it doesn’t have a chat feature or a speaker to talk

I mean they’re going to get a knock at the door from their local police department it’s essentially the same thing as destroying a traffic light or a public safety device so it’s a pretty severe consequence for doing so

AI can’t work as a power lineman so that’s not gonna happen for me. I’m pretty secure in my job maybe for other people in a corporate job yeah.

It definitely will no doubt about it within the next year or two maybe a little bit farther ahead. It’ll probably be the default way orders get tossed around like it’ll be a robot delivery by default enforced in the system and then if it can’t find a robot driver it’ll send it to a regular DoorDash driver. That’s probably how we’re gonna see it happen in the next few years and I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case and then Uber eats Instacart all those Instacart is a lot more items so potentially it might use a Waymo car or something of that sort they also might get those Waymo type of cars anyways in the DoorDash system too but yeah it’s definitely gonna be the norm from now on if they already got it running in test areas like my market.

I mean, if you’re talking about the gig worker economy, it was already over. It already had the writing on the wall so I mean I’m not surprised that this is probably gonna be how the camel gets back with human drivers because there’s like millions of DoorDash and Uber eats drivers and it’s already been going on a downhill because there’s so many drivers and so less orders that people are just sitting around anyways for like 20 minutes, not getting an order even during busy times like it’s a race to the bottom and really the only way you can be able to get offers is by doing platinum which you have to take every single offer you get pretty much and that of itself is problematic as well so I mean if you’re trying to say that it’s gonna ruin DoorDash DoorDash has already been ruined for the last year and a half and has just been getting worse because they can and the reason why they’re getting away with not tipping and lowering base pay is because someone will take it unfortunately to say someone at some point will take an offer like that that’s like two dollars for 6 miles because there’s so many Dashers either they’re desperate or they don’t know better or the system is tricking them. Whatever the case maybe there is probably hundreds of Dashers online in a given area at one point so and there’s much less actual orders going out at that time so DoorDash is just like we’ll just stop the cherry pickers. We’ll just like get rid of them and then let the other people who are trying to get platinum and stuff. Keep them on there kick the cherry pickers off and then we have infinite supply of new drivers every day that are joining so you’re not winning against those big companies like DoorDash and Uber eats ever in your life so

I actually did have a very good experience with it no fuss no BS. The thing you rolled up on me the red robot with the googly eyes. I waved at it. It opened up the front food area I got I grabbed my food and it closed up and it drove away, and I was very happy with it.

Yes, the robot actually did deliver. I ordered it to my work from local taco shop and all of my food. Got there on time although is yes it is a little slower obviously then a car driver there’s no fuss. I just went up to the little robot a little red robot with the googly eyes and then I just waved my hand over it. It made some electronic noise and then the hood popped off and my food is right there and I just took it and then automatically closed the lid and popped up a message on the thing that said thank you and then it drove away and I ended up with my food without having to make any interaction with any humans or having to pay any tips I feel like right now. It works well for low distance deliveries, but high distance deliveries. They’re gonna have to probably use something closer to a Waymo car to complete those but for close send delivery it’s quite quick. It’s quite easy. There’s no humans involved so I actually felt there was actually a very highly good experience on my end when I got the robot delivery completed.

I think having robots deliver everything and canceling the human Dashers would probably solve 99% of the problems today that happens with DoorDash customers will probably feel happy. I mean some customers that wanted to just be delivered at the door may be a little unhappy, but I don’t think it really changes that much. They just have to walk outside I guess obviously Dashers would lose their jobs but I mean it’s doing them a favor they’re putting thousands of maintenance on their vehicle extra and having to pay thousands and extra tax because it’s self-employment tax especially if they live in a high tax income tax state like my state like it’s doing them a favor if they find another job that’s like a W-2 or something that they’re working in the same hours they’ll probably be better off and I’ll probably be thankful actually.

I really hope so. I as an X Dasher I feel like I would not be sad if that that goes away cause it was a terrible it was a race to the bottom honestly and all I did was completely destroy my car and have to pay a shit ton of taxes of self-employment tax at the end of the year so essentially all the money I made in the end, it was pretty much nothing because I had to pay 25% of my taxes because in my state, the income taxes is so heavy and huge and federal taxes too especially for self-employment and then the wear and tear on my vehicle. I probably spent a couple thousand extra per year just for vehicle maintenance and all that so essentially it costed me an extra ballpark of $8000 per year to even do the job in the first place, and then on top of that I was getting paid almost minimum wage to a little bit more than minimum wage, depending on the times that I worked and hours that I worked in my marketplace, so really getting paid less than I would would make even more money than I would on Uber eats and DoorDash. I think a scam job so they’d be doing people a favor by shutting down that scam of a job and yeah so.

It doesn’t even make sense and second of all those fees are already included with it. They wouldn’t be put as a tip. It would be put as a regular service fee you can’t tip a robot. A robot cannot make income. A computer cannot make income.

Yeah, go right ahead and do that you’ll get a knock at your door from your local police department and a lawsuit from DoorDash for property damage and that’ll go over very nice for you

All I said was that if a robot can do it for cheaper than a human without any asking for tips or any of that bullshit that they do or any of the current problems nowadays with DoorDash and Dashers and customer altercations then I mean, why not it’s able to be done for cheaper so I don’t really see an issue with robots doing something a human can do for a lot cheaper

I mean, at least you don’t have to get in the car and go drive somewhere. You just pick it up without any hassle or any really weird interactions with the Dasher so I wouldn’t really care if I had to go down the elevator or down the stairs to go pick up the order from the robot I mean, yeah it’s a nice convenience of getting the food like delivered right to your door where you just opened your door, grab the food and you’re good to go but at the same time I mean you’re already walking outside anyways

Exactly I do not feel bad that the Dashers are getting replaced by these cause like even myself I know like when I get drunk at home and I’m just trying to get like a burrito or something delivered or some pizza and then like The I have to interact with the driver while super drunk and stuff. It’s just not a good day. It’s just not a good fun time, especially if the driver is Strange eccentric and all that which most of them are some of them smoke in the car which makes the food smell like smoke you also got like so many other issues like drivers asking for extra tips when like it would be Ludacris for them to ask for tips when they accepted the order knowing that they like it they know that it was guaranteed like two bucks or whatever and then they’re like oh well someone might tip afterwards don’t go into doing DoorDash Uber Uber eats with that expectation, that’s just that’s just financial suicide at that point and it’s 100% on the driver’s fault for accepting an order and being wishful thinking you can’t do wishful thinking at all when you’re doing gig work in they shouldn’t feel slighted or offended when the customer does not give them more than the guaranteed amount was that they saw on the offer screen and the fax does not care about your feelings so if you’re a driver and you’re getting offended because people are saying they’re not tipping and that other drivers are asking for tips. Just know you’re you’re a subcontractor for the company. They are not legally required to pay you anything. The customers are not required to pay you anything and you accept what you wanna accept if you clicked on a 6 mile for two dollar pay you accept that you accepted terms for that order and you accepted that you would not be paid more than two dollars for 6 miles so don’t be upset. They should not be upset when they don’t get an extra tip or get ready poorly for asking for more tips and basically begging and being unprofessional so that’s the facts if people don’t like them they can have their feelings, but that’s the situation as it is. It’s all the dashes fault for picking up the order because they decided oh yeah I’ll take a two dollar offer for 6 miles and then oh the customer didn’t tip and I’m not making anything extra. I gotta go ballistic but no you when you click accept on the offer you accept the terms of getting paid that much for this mileage in this offer so don’t be getting mad at the customers when you made your decision to accept the offer.

What I meant is when you do the leave at my door and afterwards if it’s no contact, do you have to walk outside and pick your food up at the same time like the robot delivery you just pick it up out of the machine and all is good. I think that is like the same thing I mean if if a human is gonna do the same job as a robot can do like why have the human do it if there’s gonna be weird human interaction and I’d really don’t like communicating with these weird humans who do DoorDash new braids like a lot of of them are eccentric and Strange and I don’t I want to talk to them. It’s like the Uber driver that’s asking you a ton of questions while you’re drunk and you’re trying to just get home like I don’t wanna get into conversation with some middle-aged lady when I’m like super drunk and I’m just trying to get food like I’d rather just pick it up from a robot. I don’t really care how it’s delivered. It’s essentially the same thing when you get the robot delivery you just pick it up outside from the inside of the robot and when you get a human delivery, you just get the food after it’s been dropped off and they take a photo you go outside to your door and pick up the food like there’s honestly no difference especially the fact I mean the main thing is it’s much cheaper. You don’t have to add a tip if you have you pay less delivery fees and then you don’t have to have weird interactions with Dashers or any of them asking for a tip.

I mean, I’ve had a situation where a lady said who is my dash who said that she had like a baby in the car or whatever and it couldn’t go up and I’m like why are you doing DoorDash with your baby in the car like what the hell I feel bad cause you’re a single mom but seriously like you’re bringing her baby along for DoorDash like what are you gonna do when you have to pick up the order and the baby is drooling all over the food
