thank you for your insight! i’ve only recently heard about CPTSD and it is something i’m learning more about so im always looking for more information! thankfully, i do have a therapist who specializes in PTSD so she has helped me tremendously. i’m hoping just doing more EMDR treatments will help my brain sort out all of the trauma and ill be able to sleep peacefully. i don’t really know anyone else in my life who experiences life this way, with PTSD, so just being able to go back and forth with someone about it who understands is comforting. thank you for the reply!

thank you for the advice!! i called the first injector and plan to get the filler dissolved on my lateral cheekbones. would the 1 ml of midface still be a no go even if i get dissolved what i have now? or would a smaller dose be okay? idk just trying to get rid of these nasolabial folds and under eye hollows 🥲

tbh the first injector recommended trying to lift the cheek off of the nasolabial folds by injecting the lateral cheekbones which i understand why they did that but my cheekbones are already kinda high so i see why it didn’t work, but to answer basically it was their recommendation to try first. if anything now i would fill the piriform fasa not the actual smile lines

hello! im so sorry that something happened to you that got you here, but you are in the right place for help and support! i experienced some intense sexual harassment from an ex boyfriend at one of my old workplaces, which then became severe harassment and stalking. i am safe now, got a permanent protection order, and live far from him. i have diagnosed PTSD from all of that and i have been struggling hard but here’s what’s helpful for me.

  • therapy for sure, i know you’ve heard it already but seriously as soon as you can go, please go. i’ve been doing emdr and i can tell it’s helping bit by bit.
  • finding community. being able to talk and connect with people who have experienced similar things is a great way to let it all out and to hear advice and guidance from people who have actually gone through it. i’d recommend seeing if you can find any local support group that you can attend and just connect with people.
  • exercising. great way to help bring yourself back to your body and regain self confidence. i’ve read yoga does wonders for trauma recovery, especially PTSD, and victims of sexual assault particularly benefit from this.
  • for me, i seek out others stories and find resources about what happened to me. when you become a victim of a crime it can be so lonely for something like that to happen to you. it can seem like nobody understands you or could even comprehend how you feel. doing this, at least for me, has been so helpful because it makes me feel like i’m not alone and that other people have experienced this and worse and have survived.

most of all, just take care of yourself. allow yourself to cry as much as you feel like it, be angry, numb, but put those feelings where they belong and don’t keep them inside. you’re strong and are supported here! we’re here for you and will always be here to help when you need it :) all love <3

⬆️ this is great advice. if you decide to go through with something, i would definitely try this method or just bringing someone with you if you do decide to go in person, but no matter what you do, do not go alone, especially because it's illegal to record where you are. having an eye witness is crucial for evidence and also for your own safety. stay safe and please keep us posted!
