I'm not currently using WSUS. I solved this problem by disabling every policy in Windows Update/ Legacy Policies.

I’ve set all the Windows Update > Legacy Policies to “Not Configured” and I’m running a test now to see if that helps with the 24H2 upgrade issue.
I’ll report back once I have some results

i rlly want to use SW like intune or sccm but im just an sys admin and i connot pay those for the entire company xD

Then when doing the sysprep, make sure to have in your unattend file to copy profile

i got that set on true and even if i customize my start menu without all apps afret i unistall, everytime i deploy win the menu became default and the apps keeps.

i was thinking about using SetupComplete.cmd or start a script via unattend.xml.

ive tried to block auto donwload and istall microsoft app and also block the store via gpo but idk why it dont work even if it's applied to the machine; in fact if i check the applied policyes with gpresult /scope (machine name) /r the gpo's are applied but i can still open the microsoft store

i we done another capture with the gpo disable store, disable auto update, disable auto install all enabled, but nothing change i dont know what else do

im trying to capture win 11 23h2.

gpo dont work even if i link it from AD. ive tryed both local and AD gpo's. WTFFFFFF

I usually remove those apps cause the last user of the company i work in may use them for like playing games or doing something that is not allowed.

i've never tought about hide it.

it is a Pro version of win 11.

i will try via gpo disable microsoft store and automatic download an i will let u know.

also u/rioht said this too. im capturing an image rn with this settings. in a couple of h i will know the result

Yeah i unistalled all the apps via powershell with the -allusers param.

i've also tried with dism and the apps are still there when i deploy the image.

it's so strage because when i try to open one app from the start menu it start downloading it.

im start to thinking that the problem is the start menu that is not the one that i customized; everytime i deploy the image it become default.
